Hi Mozilla Firefox Team

the recent update did bring with it a rather annoying feature When I look at a foreign language website a pop-up appears that wants to translate I do not need nor want that feature I have tried to program it to dorm - but I did not find any programming that seems to do it Can You please help

Description:

In Firefox version 135.0.1, when navigating to a website by clicking a bookmark or by pasting a URL (without first activating an Asian language input method in the address bar), Asian language input methods are inactive within webpage text fields. Only English characters can be entered. Switching languages or input methods has no effect.

Steps to Reproduce:

• Open Firefox 135.0.1.
• Navigate to a website by clicking a bookmark or by pasting a URL into the address bar (do not activate an Asian language input method in the address bar before navigating).
• Click on a text field within the webpage.
• Attempt to activate an Asian language input method.

Expected Result: The Asian language input method should activate, allowing the user to enter characters in the selected language.

Actual Result: The Asian language input method remains inactive. Only English characters can be entered.

Workaround: Clicking on the address bar and activating an Asian language input method there enables the input method to function correctly in webpage text fields afterward. This workaround persists for all webpages within the same Firefox window. Alternatively, if the user first types an URL into the address bar, while using an asian language input method, the problem does not occur.

Environment: Browser: Firefox 135.0.1 Operating System: Windows 11 Input Methods: Microsoft Chinese Input and Microsoft Japanese Input (both exhibit the same issue) Websites: Google, Bing, Yahoo and other websites.

Additional Information: This issue does not occur in Microsoft Edge.

For about one week (or more) results of my questions or other input have resulted in suggestions/sites in Spanish. Yes, I live in South America, but I do not speak or read Spanish. I have chosen English as my preferred language. What's up?

There is no Japanese in the language to which the website is translated. It is understandable that Chinese is available in the Asian region. However, we would like to ask why there is Indonesian, Vietnamese and Korean, but no Japanese.

Hello, after chrome block uBlock i try to migrate to firefox browser. I often use devtools on my work, devtools use my browser default(choosen) language in this tab. Can i switch language on english only in dev tools tab?

Have new W11 laptop. Installed Firefox and have set it to my default browser but if I use the search box it opens the results in Edge. Where is the setting to enable W11 search box to use Firefox.

Mozilla is the only search engine that recently has started to display pages and Ads in German. For years it was in English which is selected as the only preferred language in the settings, so its a very recent language phenomenon. What is wrong? It has started a couple months ago and I have been unable to get rid of this problem even by re-installing the browser.

When searching through this cite I am getting a lot of spanish - see screen shot. Every setting on system I can find states english. Anything I'm missing?? FF 136.0.1, linux, enlightenment e26. starting FF with -purgecaches switch does nothing, just added FF136.0.1 this A.M.

Yesterday all my browser extensions were disabled. They are very important to me. I accept and understand all the risks. I beg you, please let me use these extensions. Please help...

Hello, why is there no Chinese language package in the built-in translation, or is there a way to solve this? Looking forward to your reply. I hope my poor English won't cause you any misunderstandings.
