The fundamental nature of dementia and Alzheimers is that the victim cannot remember new information. But for some time they can recall information and processes which were learned previously.

After some years, they will be unable to utilize any of the technology they depend upon - they will not be able to turn on their device to make a phone call. They won't be able to locate the menu they need to utilize. Because all that changes CONSTANTLY. They will become helpless sooner than necessary. They will strain their families and the taxpayer sooner than necessary.

The only solution is for software makers to roll out, every 5 or 6 years, a "stable version" where the user interface will not change one iota for 25 years. Of course, they must still make internal updates for security and changes in the Internet Protocol layer system. The portions of the code that deal with the user must be modular to be plugged into newer hardware and communication protocols.

When someone is diagnosed with memory impairment, they will have time to learn the latest Stable Version.

This is a very fundamental change to business as usual, but there is no other solution other than continuing to balloon the cost of elder car.

not sure if this is where i should be but i tried the Thunderbird help and got no answer. After the most recent Thunderbird up date and a Thunderbird install over existing one when i go to my drafts folder and click on any draft or save message in there i get a yellow bar at the bottom of the page that i have never seen before . Now i do not want recreate a new profile and lose all my contacts book marks add on etc. how do i remove that yellow bar in Thunderbird mail

So on my macbook when I enable fullscreen the anmation is super weird. first it stretches the video to the top and then just expands to the whole screen, when I go out of fullscreen is stretches to the bottom and then goes out off fullscreen. for example on safari it just expands the video until it takes up the whole screen. I have gone in about:config and disabled the fullscreen animation but that did nothing.

I want to enable cookies for outlook and google, the rest I dont want.

I have attempted to look at the cookie's url for outlook and add that to the exception list, but outlook still harasses me with its annoying 2fa

How do I find the actual address to put in the exceptions list to stop this issue?

Firefox Developer Edition 126.0b7 (64-bit) shows a perpetual "Loading" screen when trying to access my internal Logitec Media Server at 127.0.0.1:9001.

Other browsers like Waterfox Classic have no trouble, so LMS is working fine.

I tried cleaning the cookies, disabling the firewall (Windows 10), that did not help/

Any idea how to solve this?

Everytime i try to watch a video it says it can't play or it just sits there buffering. Youtube works but only lower quality, but every other site i go on doesn't. Twitch won't load, other sites show Error Code: 102630. This is only a problem on my browser on my windows pc I have. On mobile the browser works great and has no problem showing videos so it a problem for my pc browser.. I've tried all of the steps, i've updated, i checked drm and even went into config to check there. But nothing works, it still can't load videos. I have version 125.0.3 and for me it's the latest one. I even turned off all of my add-ons to check if it works or not but nothing there either. It worked before, just now the latest two months it hasn't. What can I do in order for the videos to load? Thank you for your time.

I've set up a second profile to keep my personal and work browsing separate. When I reopen my non-default profile, it doesn't restore the previous session's tabs. I have "open previous windows and tabs" checked under Settings > General > startup in both profiles. Please advise.

I've reported these issues before with no response. I've uninstalled reinstalled cleared cache and cookies searched another forums et cetera. Why must I manually update when it's set to auto update? When I set controls to ask where to download items it bypasses that and downloads it as a temp file where I have to cut it out of explorer and paste it where I would like to save it.

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?

(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

So I have an Excel workbook in my onedrive from MS, It was working fine on my firefox browser in my Ubuntu OS, last week it started to delete my cell's information whenever I pressed the enter, tab or arrow keys, I contacted the MS support and they get me to opened the same file on a chrome browser and worked fine... I still want to use my firefox browser but this problem is very annoying, please help me sort it out!!!

Hi, Before Firefox's Version 125.0.1 (64-bit) latest update I could download any file from my safe office environment, behind firewalls, VPN, ... Now despite of unchecking the "Block dangerous downloads" I'm still unable to download files. I have Windows 10 on my laptop.

Here are the steps: Click on a file, Save "File not downloaded. Potential security risk." Click on the message - Allow download The result is a file with content "HTTP Status 405 – Method Not Allowed".

Please help me to work the downloading again. I am aware of the safety but I want to switch off this feature.

The 125.0.2 update broke Amazon Prime Video. Firefox refuses to play ANY video, causes website to return a "That shouldn't have happened" error page. Prime Video plays just fine on Safari 16.6.1, macOS 11.7.10. Amazon says just to use Safari, but I want Firefox to work right.

When I goto to YT Homepage it will play all the sounds of the downloaded video's when I hover with the mouse.

But I want to hear the sound of that video AFTER I selected that Video or clicked on the title.

I've been having problems with some websites not displaying content, others displaying error messages. So have been going through the Troubleshooting Mode and diagnostic process.

The cause is the MS CoPilot extension for Firefox.

Useful in other ways as I discovered several other extensions I don't need, hence have remained disabled.

I've just noticed a "Tree Of Tabs" option. I right-clicked a dozen tabs, hit Bookmark This Tree. The webpages disappeared. Now I can't find them, and they're not listed anywhere in history or recently closed tabs.

I am unable to get printing to work correctly using Firefox with Epson POS TM-T20 thermal printers we have a work.

We're currently running Firefox on Debian 12. I've tried both the ESR version that comes with the Debian repository and the latest Firefox as a flatpak.

When printing to the receipt printer, the only thing that is printed is the left-hand most part of the logo and a little part of the text and this occurs towards the right-hand side of the paper. I've changing all of the settings, resetting the settings for the print in about:config, but nothing seems to work.

I'd love to get this working so that staff could use Firefox. I'm attaching an image of what the print job looks like and a screenshot of what the print-preview shows.

I can open the Chase bank site, but cannot log into my account. I can log into my Chase account using Edge. This may have happened after the most recent update to Firefox. Any ideas how to fix this?
