I used to have an account with everything on it

I restarted my computer and now I cant access anything from my old account. I used my same email account as before. what do I do I lost eveything

Since upgrading to 147 last night, ChatGPT does not work and there are issues with other websites (Amazon side bar). Numerous people reported it on reddit. Any suggestions for a fix?

Hello, I do not know if others have this problem, but when I try to access an Microsoft email account, using Firefox, it loads and then immediately logs me out. When I use a Firefox Private Window, this not occur. What might be causing this?

I have been unable to log into my email provider from their home page https://mailbox.org/en/ using Firefox. There is a progressive web app that "goes with" Firefox (if that is the right term) and that does not seem to work either. I get blank screens. I have succeeded in logging into mailbox.org in Microsoft Edge and in Brave. Can you please give me any clues as to what settings or whatever I need to configure in Firefox to be able to log into mailbox.org ?

Hallo Forum! Ich kann mich mit Firefox 147.0 (64-Bit) nicht bei https://auth.openai.com anmelden. Mit diesem Link kommt nur eine leere Seite. Mit https://chatgpt.com/ kommt der anmelde Buton aber der ist ohne Funktion. Ich habe chatgpt schon zu den Ausnahmen im Kaspersky hinzugefügt ohne Erfolg. Im privaten Fenster im Firefox auch kein Erfolg. Einzig im Edge funktionert alles. Hoffentlich habe ich mein Problem gut beschrieben und Ihr könnt mir bitte helfen? Grüße Telly

When I logged in this morning my FireFox screen had changed. The window for searches had disappeared and the "pocket" selections were all about India and its events. None of the previous options were there. What happened and how do I get back to where things were?

I noticed a wierd popup when opening mozilla. It said "you're always starting mozilla when starting the pc". How and why does an internet browser have to have any information regarding when I boot my PC? What else does mozilla look at outside the browser environment?

If they claim it's needed for performance: Illogical, boot times have nothing to do with the internet browser. If referring to general performance then you can't possibly track and tailor every new piece of hardware that enters the market. Instead you make your browser with prerequisites that you yourself control (eg. install vcredist for this browser to work or something like that).

Why then is Mozilla monitoring my computer when the browser isn't even open or running?

Mozilla made an update of my Firefox installation on my Win11 laptop. all my password disappeared as well as my history and bookmarks.

I have now a virgin installation and is starting from scratch.

Now I get this error message: "This profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile." I deleted met shortcut and I opened Firefox by using Windows search. Now I see 4 profiles! I think I do not need to create a new profile. Maybe delete 3 of them ? What to do ? And, how?

How do I get the full url line of where I am currently on the homepage back for the search line, or the old full browser line? Have been looking in settings and haven't located it.

About ready to leave firefox over it, and been here for years.

In a thread discussion about the flag, "browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory" dated 23-Nov-2022 (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33706117) it was mentioned that we've disabled tab unloading on Linux because low-memory detection just didn't work.

Has the issue been fixed? Does the low-memory detection work in Linux? Can it be enabled now?

Does it get triggered when SWAP is being used? Or when system free RAM falls say to about 25% of total physical RAM?

I've tried messing with hardware acceleration, resetting the zoom to 100, it seems when i get the zoom as low as possible it tries to fall back into place, i can't find any fix on this, i like this browser but i cant watch anything like this

so i had a bunch of bookmarks saved, and when i logged in today they are gone, replaced with a message For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. manage bookmarks (link)

so when I use the link I cant restore bookmarks, cant seem to save new bookmarks, and the FAQ section isnt helping, some of the stps they talk about are greyed out in my version, so I cant click on them etc.

Is this a windows 10 issue? Am I the only one having this problem?

This happens occasionally for many months. It is still happening on v147.0.1. I start the computer, open Firefox, and the browser loads previously viewed pages, including my Gmail account. The Gmail page has me already logged in, and I DID NOT provide my password! This has to be a big security risk. If some one were to use my computer, or it was stolen, they would have complete access to my Gmail and all Google properties! OS - Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) Kernel v6.1.0-42-amd64 Firefox v147.0.1 (and MANY previous versions)

Hi everyone.

Basically when the browser is (I think) idle while watching YouTube, FF is constantly backing up (the timestamp in the backup file name keeps getting updated). From the settings page I thought it once every 24 hours. I noticed from higher than normal CPU usage impacting FF and the Windows search indexer. Which reverted to normal once I disabled the backup.

I checked the about config:

• browser.backup.scheduled.minimum-time-between-backups-seconds

Is set to 24 hours (86400 seconds)

But I also noticed:

• browser.backup.scheduled.idle-threshold-seconds

Is set to 15 seconds(!). Is that what I think it is? Back up whenever there's a 15 sec idle window, regardless of the minimum? Can I safely make that 86400 seconds too, or does it do something else entirely?
