Hi, how do we set Firefox 97 to use the os/system print dialog?

Before Firefox 97 we could change these settings in about:config:

print.tab_modal.enabled = false widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal = true

But they are both gone now.

There is now widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.print, which is an integer (2 by default).

But no matter what integer it is set to, we still don't get the os/system print dialog.

We are using Arch Linux, but we don't expect that to be of any importance -- after all, it worked before Firefox 97.

until yesterday, Firefox had the same to toolbar settings as everything else. Then YOU updated me and the toolbar now only has HORRIBLE appearance. How to turn the clock back and use the Windows settings for everything?

The minimum size of the Library panel has been getting larger and larger. It can no longer be resized so that it can be fully visible on the desktop when other windows are open to 1:1 size. The issue first started nine months ago. It was troublesome then, forcing me to use extra hand motions and mouse clicks just to get a fraction of a seconds worth of information.

In other words, Firefox has made it more difficult to retrieve important information that used to be available at a glance. I have determined that Firefox has rewritten their programming to intentionally do this to us. WHY?

Please make the Library Panel box fully resizable again. It is becoming a make or break issue for me. Stop tinkering around. You had perfection, now it is ruined. I do not want the window buried, partially obscured, or on top of any other window. It should have equal rights with other fully resizable elements.

Whomever thinks the look of 91 is great, keep it to yourself, you're making my browser twice as tall as the amount of screen real estate available for it and things are not fitting inside the window.

I will be to-the-point: Firefox 109.0 has forced the "extensions" icon (a puzzle piece) on my Bookmarks toolbar.

(1) I do not wish for it to appear there (2) I am not given the possibility to remove it from the "Customise toolbar" screen

Please assist.

I enjoy this handy addon, but it's got a couple bugs

It's a recommended addon, but It seems that it's no longer being supported. Version is two years old, and issues reported on github are not responded to.

I wonder if anyone could recommend another addon with the same features.

For the last several FF versions, although I choose a light theme, the pull downs/menus always wind up dark with white text. It also shows up when I am editing options in FF itself. How do I stop this? I want a light background with black/dark text.

i have added the ABP addon into my Mozilla latest version. After some weeks i have disable and remove the extention from my browser without success. I have read a lot of posts about this situation but noting has help me.

I have uninstalled mozilla and install it again but this method hasn't help me. I do also not shown any ads in chrome browser.

Is there and way to remove this trash without reinstalling windows?

Hello, I've used AddBlock successfully for years but now , to my utter dismay, It has stopped functioning. I tried unsuccessfully to reset Firefox . Have just gone through the latest StartPage privacy protocol added to Firefox, but I am still beset with beastly adds. Hope you can help, Cordially, Joy

After new 96.0 update today, browser changed to white on black background; always had the opposite. Can't see method to change back. Setting in font section still says black on white, to no effect.’ Don't want the white on black.

I can pin Firefox to my Taskbar and used to be able to pin shortcuts to that but all of a sudden I cannot pin shortcuts to that Firefox that it is sitting on the Taskbar. I drag them to the Firefox shortcut on the Taskbar and a message pops up “Pin to Firefox?” but when I right click on the Taskbar Firefox link there are only the original shortcuts that were there before this problem began. I have tried Uninstall & Reinstall but nothing works.

I want to completely disable the 'restore previous session' option.

I want to start a new session with my preset home pages 100% of the time.

Having Firefox display a page 'unable to restore previous session' with the options of 'display previous' pages and 'start new session' is inconvenient at best. I do not want to see that page, I just want Firefox to automatically start a new session every time I open it.

In the Tools menu settings tab, the 'Restore previous session' checkbox is not checked.

My top sites have disappeared and/or changed to sites not visited very much. And there is now no Top Sites box to check in Preferences.

This means that when I click the URL box, it used to drop down with 5 or 6 of the sites I visited the most. Those are gone and replaced with sites I don't visit very much.

Just installed Firefox my laptop, but when I try to change my search engine to google I only have Bing and DuckDuckGo as my options. No other search engines appear.

Until recently, I resisted allowing updates for Firefox because of the announcements of changes to prevent access to some technical kinds of website which I use. These include the public websites of the Paris Observatory which include useul informational ftp pages with important text, data and software files.

  I did recently allow a Firefox update, and now I find that I am cut off from access to these ftp pages. 
  How can I re-enable access to ftp? If it can't be done in the new version of Firefox, how can I return to an older Firefox version that does allow such access?

When I use Firefox on my Mac, no matter what I have tried it keeps defaulting to the dreaded Bing Search Engine. I understand it has to do with Microsoft, but I don't use any of their products because I don't like them. In settings/search I can restore the default search engines & delete Bing, but it always reverts back to insisting on using Bing again. I have followed several threads about this issue without permanent resolution. Help??
