Hello,

Moving from an older Ubuntu 18.04 machine where Firefox is limited to version 113 to a newer machine running Mint 22 where the current version is 134.

I know how to transfer the profiles but I could not find any information on compatibility.

Would I need to install other versions before 134 to handle any changes?

I'm using Firefox 150, but I don't see a VPN button, not even in the extension drop-down menu. There's only a new button for my Firefox account (F). When I click it, I can only choose the paid VPN options.

The bookmarks on my taskbar are all of a sudden not showing up. I'm unable to drag them there like I used to. Also, the history and menu button on the upper right don't work now. I've restarted with no luck.

I organize my bookmarks progressively, categorizing them by folders and labels. The labels are stored (libraries - above all the bookmarks) within their respective folder "labels". I deleted some bookmarks a few days ago and noticed that I am unable to delete the labels which have accumulated and been automatically recorded in the "Labels" folder.

How can I delete these numerous labels that are no longer linked to any bookmarks ?

Since the 132.02 certain eBay items will not display its shipping info. Only on Firefox. Its not addon because I disabled all and I have the same addons installed on edge and all good there, I can see the shipping info on edge. And its only about 50% of the items which is weird. I have done the basic troubleshooting and I have to think it was this update. If you see the images attached Shipping values should be displayed. Some have a $ value some say +shipping, those are not displaying the value. Please help me figure this out as I use Firefox ALL day but if this continues I HAVE to switch. Ebay is my main source of income now.

I depend heavily in my environmental and other work on Firefox and am grateful for its ability to restore previous tabs when my laptop, not infrequently, stops working abruptly.

Now the much-used bookmarks have disappeared. A search site states promisingly:

"To restore Firefox bookmarks, use the built-in backup feature by going to Menu > Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore, then select a dated backup or a manual file (like a JSON backup) to bring back lost bookmarks..."

But my Firefox's Bookmarks drop-down menu has no Manage Bookmarks option. PLEASE, what must I do?

Elsewhere I managed to find this file which apparently contains recent bookmarks:

The camera won't turn on in the Firefox browser for Google Meet or Zoom. It says it can't find the camera or that it's turned off. I have checked my Windows 11 settings and desktop apps have access to the camera. I have also checked the settings for each of the sites and use of the camera and microphone are allowed. Autoplay is enabled too. The camera works fine in other apps and in other browsers.

Anything using WebGL in-browser tells me that my browser doesn't support it.

https://get.webgl.org/ says "Hmm. While your browser seems to support WebGL, it is disabled or unavailable. If possible, please ensure that you are running the latest drivers for your video card." but I updated it to the most recent drivers and the issue is still happening. Graphics card is an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT.

All of a sudden for the past few weeks or so, I keep getting the message in the attached screenshot when entering words in the search bar and clicking on Google. This never happened before in all the years I've been doing this, so what's up with it and can it be fixed? Thanks.

Not sure whats going on here, been using FF for decades with no problems. I am saving bookmarks to various folders but recently noticed some were not in the folders I was sure I had saved them too. For example, in the screenshot attached I had saved the Rink Diary Bookings to my Bowls folder, but when I opened the folder later the bookmark was not shown. I did the Google search and checked what I could and most solution options were aimed at the Toolbar, which I didn't have a problem with. I then noticed some other bookmarks were no longer showing. I then saved a new Rink Diary Bookings link (now ending in '1') to a second folder so I knew which link was from each folder. This new bookmark also failed to show in the new folder. I somehow found a search button for the bookmarks and found both the bookmarks in the correct folders. (See attached) Can anyone advise how to get the bookmarks to show in, and open from, the actual folders? I am not very tech minded so any help is appreciated. I have copied the folder menu's in the attachment Thank you.

I've just opened one simple Web site (in addition to Mozilla), and already CPU usage sits at about 20%! Please refer to my recent posts here at "Why is Firefox Suddenly Taking Over my CPU?" for the problem description. With reference to my question just posted, also now when I click on my Firefox browser, the Yahoo search engine seems to take over and it won't let me come out of it. Mark

Since the update I've had a few issues, most I was able to fix but this one eludes me. Opening up various news sites I get the "Firefox prevented this page from reloading" error at the top and clicking allow does nothing. Anyone know how to get around this error? I'm not looking to totally disable the FF feature that prevents other pages from loading a different one, but just to browse the website after hitting 'allow'.

two days ago, video embeds on Twitter stopped working in Firefox. Please help me troubleshoot the issue, so that I can either fix it myself, or present enough evidence to file a proper bug report.

Affected version: FF 140 ESR. I had some 140.7 installed when the error first happened, but have upgraded to firefox-esr_140.10.1esr-1_amd64 since. Didn't fix the problem. *Not* a snap package, regular .deb!

Affected OS: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, not a fresh install but upgraded from 24.04 instead (which itself was upgraded from 22.04).

Symptoms: Videos on X (and Facebook) no longer play, the preview image is there for a split second, then an error appears. Video on for example Youtube is fine, though. Local players like VLC also do work as expected. Video on X worked under 26.04 before this happened.

The issue likely started when removing surplus packages and metapackages from the upgrade. Went into Firefox and got the error message: Platform version 131.03 is not compatible with min version>=131.02 & max version>=131.02 So I'm thinking that the last update caused the error. I did a system restore to a week earlier, and after 5 hours, the computer rebooted to that date. Upon opening Firefox, I found the the notice that the next time Firefox opens, it will update. After closing, and reopening, Firefox updated and displayed the same error message. Nor quite sure what to do, I downloaded Firefox again, and was going to uninstall and reinstall. But as soon as the download finished, it loaded. So now I have the new Firefox without all of my saved bookmarks and passwords. I thought I'd read someplace that that wouldn't happen, and all of my password and bookmark history would transfer to the new Firefox. As if that wasn't enough to ruin my day, I found that the new Firefox isn't working in my wife's account on the same computer. She gets the same error message as I did before the new install. I know, my fault for not backing up the bookmark and password files, but what's my option now?

When I open up the Add-ons Manager it shows Window Titler is turned on. But Ctrl-Alt-T no longer works, there is no button showing for it, and it seems to be gone. A button for it does not appear in Customize Toolbar. It is the single most important reason I stay with Firefox. How do I get it to work again? Thoughts appreciated.

A new version of the "List All Tabs" appeared on my toolbar today, shown on the left and hovered over in the attached screenshot (ignore the Malwarebytes extension icon). The old icon for this button was a chevron with approximately the same functionality. I was able to remove the old icon, but I'm unable to find a way to remove this one. Here is what I've tried so far:

• Like the old one, the Customize Toolbar feature is unable to remove it since it is grayed out.
• For a while, I was able to remove the old icon by going to about:config and setting browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled to false. This solution does not work for the current and some recent versions of the button.
• I attempted to create a userChrome.css file (following all the steps according to this this website) and added the following string: #alltabs-button { display: none !important; }

None of these attempted fixes have removed the button following a browser restart. Is there a way to remove it? I have no need of a button that shows me what tabs I have open when I can simply look at my toolbar.

Hi, I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 home. One of the things that has changed is that my downloads don't stay. After closing Firefox the download is there but if you click on it it says "File missing or moved".
