I am unable to recover the original profile files, and this is not me trying to recover that; they are just gone completely so, I can't bring that original profile back to fix this. I have refreshed, uninstalled, signed out, closed the tabs from my sync list, etc, but I can't get this to go away. I don't know what to do.

I'm away at another location for a few months out of the year. The computer in the other location is almost identical to this one, done in a very simple manner, by using a backup and then reinstalling everything from previous computer to current, most of which is data.

The Firefox profile is copied over and then the version of the program from that other computer is copied, so the profile and program match. The last step is to disable each add-on individually, then to immediately enable them again. (Otherwise, the browser won't connect to the internet.)

I followed the same procedure today as every single time. But then I noticed the blank new tab add-on isn't working. And upon looking at the add-ons...none of the enabled ones are listed (or working). Only the disabled and recommended ones. I don't even know which were installed, and would have a hell of a time figuring out which ones are supposed to be there, and how they're set up.

Where did they go, and how can they be reinstated?

This has never happened before, and I've been doing this same thing for at least 3 years.

Hello Support, Every time I open Firefox browser I see this Google Pop-up to sign in. I want this annoying tracker pop up screen to disappear altogether. I see it on the upper right screen it's very annoying and I don't or use or trust Google at all. I've searched through all settings my search engine is DDgo I see no way of eliminating google pop-up. Why I'm I receiving this and how do I get rid of of it ASAP?

Attempted to update FF using the 140.2.0esr.msi file. During install it asked for a location of bookmarks (seemed off, like a new install) so the process was stopped. All FF profile files appeared to have been untouched based on their dates. So the following directories: \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\oeg1ubpo.default-esr \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\oeg1ubpo.default-esr where both copied to a secondary directory as a safety precaution. Install was restarted and it appears to have again installed a new version with no bookmarks, extensions or password DB carried forward from the previous install, which is not what I wanted.

Can this be corrected, by moving the copied profile back in.

I use a Lenovo desktop computer that I have used along with the Firefox browser for about 3 years and never had any problems until now. For the past two days it takes up to a couple of minutes to for the Firefox browser to open a page. While the page is loading, I get at the bottom right corner of the screen "performing a TLS handshake." I vaguely understand this terminology but am not an expert on the subject. This "handshake" repeatedly occurs with all sites that I open daily with the Firefox browser. The pages usually open within a couple of seconds. Now it takes minutes and sometimes doesn't open at all. I have difficulty opening even the Firefox home page and when it finally opens, it is incomplete? Do you have any suggestions that might help me?

I must add that the internet connection from my provider, Eastlink, located in Nova Scotia, Canada, is by Ookla tests very slow, ranging from 40 to 55bps instead of the regular150bps or higher. I don't know if the problem is with my desktop or with the provider and the provider has not responded to my telephone request with any information that explain where is the source of the slow internet speed problem.

I cannot reactivate spell check as I type, with English dictionary and the thick box ticked. Previously I could not get rid of spell check in my 2nd language (Turkish) but as I have managed, now I cannot restore spell check in English.

Can anyone help please?

Should I delete and reinstall Firefox? If I do will I lose my bookmarks?

While testing the new profiles option with Firefox after loading containers while having Surf-shark VPN on my computer stop accessing websites. The conflict was resolved by reloading surf shark and then while attempting to remove new profiles not being used I deleted the original homepage/profile. Over 10yrs of bookmarks, passwords, and numerous pieces of data have been lost. I need that original Firefox homepage user account for my computer restored.

In the last few weeks, i cannot read my iCloud emails. It says things like"message cannot be downloaded now" or "cannot move to trash now", so the only way I can consistently read my emails, is to switch to my Google browser, which has absolutely no problem with the iCloud emails Why would this be happening?

To open a Venmo account they send you to get.venmo.com and that page will not open despite my changing various security and privacy settings. Does anyone have any experience with this that can help. I'm using Windows 11 (upgraded from Windows 10) and I've noticed that some -- only a few -- websites still think I'm using Windows 10 but I don't think that is the problem.

I've noticed in the last few days that I'm periodically losing keyboard character input on sites following the update to the latest version - 148.0 (64-bit) I thought it might be a power issue with my WiFi keyboard and swapped out the batteries but the issue has persisted and I haven't experienced it when testing in Edge and nor have I seen it when using Excel or Notepad++ which I use regularly. Keyboard input actually froze for 4-5 seconds in inputting the last sentence. The problem is presenting on a number of sites - e.g. Reddit and YouTube. I do use the Ublock Origin extension but have been doing so for quite some time. I did report an issue with the mid screen search bar a few days ago and believe that is to be corrected in the update of 10th March. Is this also a known issue with the update?
