I click on the rotating balls of download helper and it looks as though the download is taking only a couple seconds. Then, when I click on it to play it it doesn't work and says, The document “Barney_ I Hear Music Everywhere.mp4” could not be opened. The movie's file format isn't recognized. To see if additional software is available that will enable QuickTime Player to open the movie, click Tell Me More.

I have a 2011 Apple Macbook Pro 13".

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I tried updating the flash player after updating to the newest version on Firefox and it still doesn't work. That flash player problem needs to get fixed. This is so annoying! It does that on versions higher than Firefox 13.

I also have the hardware acceleration turned off.

I think only if the java exists in plugins, the website can get the jvm and run.

it seems it is ok if I install a jdk which will create a plugin in plugins, and the extension can't be used.

So most updates stop the functionality of addons I REQUIRE DAILY! I would rather ONLY UPDATE AFTER MY NECESSARY ADDONS ARE COMPATIBLE. Other than that IE is as functional as Firefox. Without functioning addons Firefox is pointless. Please allow us(the end user) the ability to wait till addons are compatible before we(the end user) choose to update.

Before this evening I have been able to right click and Save As pictures on various sites easily. Now, tonight after my brother used my computer, I cannot do that. It doesn't give me the ability to save a PNG, BMP, GIF, JPEG, or any type of image file. The file type line is completely blank and won't allow me to do a thing.

Hi Firefox team. I do not have question, but have some comment. I expect when you uninstall FF it should keep the content of "Downloads" which may have some valuable stuff, which has nothing to do with FF itself. But I would expect the crap "extensions" like "PriceGong" should be deleted!

And I would put clear comments in help how to remove that carp, which usually forcefully installed.

Thanks Best regards Mike

Per the title. The issue came up after a Flash update. It seems to work fine in Firefox and Chrome, but when I try to, let's say, watch a YouTube video in Firefox, it won't work. It's not confined to YouTube, either: the same thing happens with Hulu as well as The Nostalgia Critic's website, whose videos are hosted by Blip.tv.

I'm pretty sure that the problem isn't JavaScript or another type of script, because JS appears to work fine - the dropdown list on YouTube's search bar functions how it's supposed to and Wikia's main page loads correctly, and these are functions which I know run off of JS. The same thing holds true for Sliverlight scripts and all of my other script plugins except for Flash.

I've tried clearing my cache and starting a new Firefox profile. I even reinstalled Firefox, but I kept all of my profiles when I did so, so I'm inclined to believe that if indeed it is a problem with Firefox and not with the Flash plugin, then it's a problem with one of the profiles.

Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) does not work in Firefox 13.0.1 or 6.0.2

I have a simple Java HttpServlet and a simple JSP page. They are both served by a WebSphere Application Server at port 80 on my local host. I have created a TCP/IP Monitor at port 8081 in Eclipse IDE so as to create a second origin. The protocol output further down comes from this monitor. This should work equally well on a simple Tomcat server.

When I perform the cross-origin resource sharing test, I see that all of the correct TCP data is exchanged between Firefox and the web server (i.e. HTTP OPTIONS and its response followed by an HTTP POST and its response) but the data in the body of the POST response is never passed to the XMLHttpRequest javascript object's responseText or responseXML variables and I get a status equal to 0. If I click the button while pressing the keyboard control key then the test will work as it will not be performed as a cross-origin request.

Here are all of the files used in this test:

Servlet Cors.java

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

package example.cors;

import java.io.IOException;
import java.util.Enumeration;

import javax.servlet.Servlet;
import javax.servlet.ServletConfig;
import javax.servlet.ServletException;

import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;

/**

		String xml="<?xml version=\"1.0\"?>\n<hello>This is a wrapped message</hello>";
		response.setContentLength(xml.length());

I have a new home computer using Windows 7 Professional that came with IE 9.0 which won't work on our Firepass for my job. I am testing Firefox 13.0.1. When I go to my company Firepass site it wants to download the F5 Host plugin. That plugin gets an error that it won't work with Firefox 13.0.1. Is there some place that I can get a different plug-in that will work? Is there something that I can change with Firefox? Can I get an earlier version that will work with F5?
