Added by FF - poor move on FF part. Unlike others, can't be removed any of the "traditiona" about: methods.

Need to have it go - we DO NOT want this used here.

The browser won't allow me to add DuckDuckGo's No AI search to the browser; see attached image.

This isn't a question: this is an issue with the Firefox browser that needs to be fixed ASAP.

I use Firefox as my browser and have used Yahoo as my home page and browser for decades. Starting a few days ago, every time I type in the Yahoo search bar I get a Google search page result. I opened Bing and tried to search on their page and got the same result - Google. This is driving me crazy. I want my old Yahoo search back. I am at a loss as to how to fix this. I have looked at the Firefox settings and, of course, Yahoo is no longer listed. A shame. I don't know what to do at this point. Maybe the answer is to get rid of Firefox, but it has worked well for me for a long time. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello there, I use Firefox on Linux and on my Iphone. On the Iphone, when I type in asomething in the search bar, on the bottom of the app I can select with one click, which search engine to use. On firefox desktop, this needs more clicks and I would find it helpful, to have the engines shown next to the text and be reachable with one click. Thank you for this great browser!

As a loyal and long time user of Firefox [since 1998 yes 1998 ,,,] if you or i cant remove google from my browser , i might have to find a replacement, that will allow me to remove this nonsense , i await your response ATB BlackSam

Why is the address bar now a search? This is annoying. How can I change this? I have already change about:config settings to false and nothing changes.

I’m feeling very … filtered by google or safari search engines and haven’t done any research into other search engine options, though I’ve heard other people mention other search engines that are less filtered that I didn’t remember the name of. I hadn’t even really thought of this before but someone recently talked about how all the information is out there on the Internet (which I knew, Duhr 😂) but like a pair of craftily sculpted goggles, each device, OS, search engine simply filters the results I have access to and yet, I still search using Chrome. Wtf? Can you help me? Help me snap out of my bubble?! 😂 I keep falling asleep and forgetting to find a way to be more safe (as I know I’ve been with you on my laptop for yeeears) and also be “allowed” to have access to more info in the big wide world on the Internets? 😜 Do you guys have a search engine? And/or do you guys know the direction to point me in to become a more aware and present human being on the internet who remains safe from all the bs and is also not filtered down into a granule of human pellet feed that they can dissolve into lusch and control, limit, feed off of for profit, leaving me in a vulnerable position to blackmail or destroy? LMAO! 🤣 🥹😳 Really though… I trust Firefox and have used this browser for years. For years now though, I’ve been only on my iPhone and forgot about Firefox until just now because I just “went with this”, brainlessly, on my iPhone and there are certain options one is fed when adopting the iPhone (and Firefox is definitely _not_ one of them!). Would you, could you please expand my horizons, safely with you guys? Or whatever you recommend, please? I’d be so grateful for any pointers, help, info, education that you can offer me! How to get rid of BING setting on internet/Firefox

I'm not sure what update it was but, new system so I had to go into setting and set things how I like. I cant remove options from additional search engines in settings. This used to be a normal feature. It is no longer one. I want to know how to remove them. Not just disable them, it is not the same. It's fine, If I have to manually recompile the browser to get this done. I just don't want them there. On version 155.0a1 on Arch Linux.

Any constructive help would be greatly appreciated.

I wanna get rid of Google as my search engine. I have tried everything I can think of, but I can’t seem to get rid of the Google search bar coming up even though it’s on Firefox.

I 'am having a terrible time trying to get Google search engine or search bar off of my Firefox .

And I can’t seem to get some of the things that have been suggested to use for example. I’m having trouble finding I can’t find things called “search shortcuts” and I just having trouble finding the three buttons, under the Firefox app opening screen. What should I do?

This is an older iMac. I already use Firefox on "my" side, which is most of the time. I hardly ever use "his" side, but I need to use it to register something under his email. Apple no longer updates our Safari as it's too old; therefore I NEED to use another browser to stay safe. I downloaded Firefox tonight for "his" side--and now I can't even go to the website I need WITHOUT going thru Google (whose nosiness I HATE). 1) SO WHAT SHOULD I DO? Second question: How do I get to his "Currently AT&T" Emails through Firefox?
