bsky.app cookie continues to be loaded on computer even after I continually delete it, privacy set to strict and blocked under "managed exceptions, why is it being reloaded when I don't access the site. None of the sites I access are linked to it, only visited once and if this alternative to x continues to set cookies, how can I permanently block it, thought the exceptions list was supposed to keep blocking it. So far it's come back three times, I'll screenshot it next time and attach.

Hi I have been using firefox on linux for a while without updating it. We are artsellers and I used to be able to log in and out of an artplatform without any problems. It's now been a few weeks since logging out is not possible any more on this platform which means that I am constantly logged in which I really do not want. The menu does not work anymore on this side whereas it works with other browers. I already contacted the platform. They cannot do anything about it themselves and asked me to contact your team. Hi I am a long time user of firefox because i love its customization and tools available to help me with my work and personal life. Recently i have been ordered to remove Firefox from the company laptop as it was deemed insecure by the IT and security department. I have been told to use MS edge and Google's Chrome. Their reasoning is "An inconsistent comparator in xslt/txNodeSorter could have resulted in potentially exploitable out-of-bounds access. Only affected version 122 and later. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 136 and Firefox ESR < 128.8." I do not know what this means. Is there something i can tell my IT department to argue against the directive to only use either Edge or Chrome. Best regards, F Silva

I am looking to turn on review checker and cannot see how to do it. I don't have the price tag icon displayed nor do I have any reference to Review Checker in my settings. I'm wondering if my version of Firefox supports it (133.0). Any ideas?

Is there a way to turn off tracking URL fragment insertion from the release notes page when clicking "What's New" in the Firefox update modal?

When I click "What's New" in this modal (see Screenshot 1), it loads the release notes page for my current version (although it really should load the release notes page for the version it wants me to upgrade to, but that's another issue altogether), and inserts a bunch of tracking URI fragments onto the URL (see Screenshot 2).

Is there a way (in Settings, about:config, Windows Registry, etc.) to disable that fragment insertion?

I have been watching YouTube for years, issue free. This week I was blocked, as my computer may be blocking ads and thus violating You Tubes policy. How can I find and disable ad block programs/ extensions, thus allowing me to get back on You tube. I can recognize an outright program, but do not knew if extensions are in play that are not obvious to me. THANKS

I clicked on a link in an email and FF began opening it. It then stopped and gave a message that the site was causing FF to run slow. That was an understatement, as FF never continued and didn't fully open the site. I copied the URL to Chrome and it had no problem quickly opening the site. What do I need to fix in FF to make it happy again? Hello, I think I may have asked about this in the past but cannot recall if I received an answer. Under Settings, I get the message "Your browser is being managed by your organization." This is my home computer and is not being managed by any organization. When I click for more information, it gives me a screen with the following information:

Policy Value ImportEnterpriseRoots

If I could get more information on this suspected error, or how to correct it, that would be great. Thanks!

I have unsubscribed from all newsletter after receiving the first email but days later I'm still getting emails from Firefox (e.g. Superpower #4: See if your info has been leaked).

This is an incredibly bad user experience and to my knowledge illegal in the EU.

I'm probably still within that journey but the journey should terminate the moment I clicked unsubscribed.

I am getting "Secure Connection Failed", Ive seen literally hundereds of same error also exist here. Like most of default solution (which is below) did not work for me. My laptops time is correct, And I highly doubt reddit and most of internet has issue with its security certificates. And other browser works just fine. So What is my solution other than immigrating to new browser?

Hi, Before Firefox's Version 125.0.1 (64-bit) latest update I could download any file from my safe office environment, behind firewalls, VPN, ... Now despite of unchecking the "Block dangerous downloads" I'm still unable to download files. I have Windows 10 on my laptop.

Here are the steps: Click on a file, Save "File not downloaded. Potential security risk." Click on the message - Allow download The result is a file with content "HTTP Status 405 – Method Not Allowed".

Please help me to work the downloading again. I am aware of the safety but I want to switch off this feature.

I have a unique annoyance wherein I use a considerably long email address for many sites. I've gotten tired of typing it out whenever it comes up and wish for it to be preserved as an autofill across all sites so I no longer have to, similar to how your phone may suggest your email address in autocomplete.

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, you can only manually add autofills for specific sites and with password attached. So my question is, is there a way to make the address be a suggested autofill on username/email address boxes across all sites?

(not interested in having form history saved, just want this one specific form entry)

hello, I've been trying to follow Firefox's official guide in the docs and ready 3rd party articles in order to enable payment method auto-fill in Firefox. however, this section seems to be missing from my settings page.

under Privacy and Security, I cannot find anything to do with saved payment methods or the checkbox to enable payment method auto-fill.

how can I resolve it?

For first time received email from breach-alerts@mozilla.com. Title is: Your monthly Mozilla Monitor report. Is this a scam? Other people have asked this question and Mozilla Firefox company has not made any attempt to answer these serious questions. If I do not hear back from Mozilla Firefox within a week I might remove Mozilla Firefox and use another company.

Hi there, in my settings in firefox: there is a website that refuses to go away from the "Manage Data" section of the "Cookies and Site Data" section of my Firefox settings. I will select to remove all of the cookies ever, and even when I refresh the settings page, or close and restart the App, or turn my computer off and on again, it is still there. Strange! I would like assistance with this.

of note, I've checked w/ third party extensions that manage cookies, and that website doesn't show up when I manage cookies via said extension.

I have MacOS Big Sur, 11.7.10. I have the latest version of Firefox.

What is this window called? When this window started popping up a couple of months ago, I noticed a couple of odd things happening on a website I go to. It would not let me pay them. It would look like it was going to then a white screen would pop up ans say" if you see this window then you ...........". I then have to pay on the phone or chrome. I have whitelisted the site but still does it.

I have a HUGE problem with Firefox memory usage. Some open instances of firefox are taking anywhere from 600mb to 2.8gb of memory. Since firefox opens MANY instances even with only ONE active window, this very quickly uses all available memory (4gb) causing a full laptop crash.

More concerning is that CLOSING the worst instance of memory usage STILL leaves the single open page/tab open, so what exactly was the memory eating instance actually doing ???

I have included a screengrab of the many remaining instances of firefox in windows task manager AFTER closing the main culprit.

I have also included a screengrab of all the adblockers I use which I believed would limit unnecessary memory usage, but does not seem to be effective.

Malwarebytes keeps blocking Mozilla files that seem to originate from it's folder in my laptop as riskware. Is this something I should make exceptions for? Or is it riskware. I'm running Win 11
