Since a recent upgrade of Firefox links in several websites no longer work. They used to be fine and I loved Firefox. The problems do not exist with other browsers e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome. More specifically, on talktalk.co.uk the links to news items do not work, nor do those to "My Account." On Barclays.co.uk the link to print my statement doesn't work - similarly on MBNA.com There are several suggested solutions around the internet but all are complex, none so far have worked and I don't see why I should need to carry out the suggested tweaks. Firefox used to be great - now it isn't. The problem seems to be with the upgrade. Please help me to get my Firefox to where it should be.

Having a strange issue with firefox - single mouse click will not open links - always needs a double click (even one with a long delay between first and second clicks) to navigate. This problem started about a month ago. I have used firefox for years without encountering this issue.

Outside of firefox (including in Windows, IE...) this problem does not occur. Interestingly, the problem also does not occur in firefox toolbars, menus, etc. It seems to be only for links...

I would really rather not reset firefox as it will be a right pain to recustomize lost settings etc.

I keep getting a box pop up, with the message: JavaScript Application Error: 'setTimeout' called on an object that does not implement interface Window for Firefox.

But it seems to only appear when I go to Amazon.com. Then it pops up with this message and the option OK? But as fast as I can click OK, another box appears. After about half a dozen, it disappears--until I move to another part of Amazon! I uninstalled--and then reinstalled--both Firefox and Jaza. I don't understand this!

(And of course, there's always the possibility that it doesn't only attack me on Amazon...there may be a lot of other sites that also trigger it, and I just haven't been there yet.)

I recently received a browser highjack due to a sketchy program recommended by a friend. (Last time I listen to them.) I uninstalled the program but and restored my search engine, homepage, newtab page, and all that. (Some through the options, some through about:config) I uninstalled the program, removed all traces I could find through the registry. I even ran a anti-malware program.

However, when I go into the Options menu in Firefox, my "General" tab does not load at all. All of the other work fine, but this one does not. I assume this was a thing the malware did to avoid me changing my preferences, but since I changed them all already through other means, I am mostly annoyed. (At least I think I changed everything back. I would check, but... y'know.)

So is there any way to abilitate this option? Or will I be forced to always wonder if I got everything back to normal?

Under about:preferences#security, you can choose what sites can download add-ons without you needing to allow it thru the Exceptions button by Warn Me When Sites Try To Install Add-ons

The defaults are; marketplace.firefox.com and addons.mozilla.org

But every time Firefox is restarted, this list is deleted. Even resetting Firefox does not fix this. I deleted the prefs.js file, but no joy. I checked, and found this enter in the file, but it will not display when Firefox is started.

I even downgraded from Firefox 34.0.5 to 33.1.1 but the issue is still there.

As far as I can tell, this is the only setting that is having trouble.

When I open a video or audio site like the NPR media player http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlayer.html?action=2&t=1&islist=false&id=370394953&m=370394958&live=1 I get an Adobe Flash Player Settings request for Local storage. Clicking accept or deny doesn't do a doggone thing. I don't have the problem with Google Chrome, but I really prefer to use Firefox. I've had the problem with other sites beside NPR (National Public Radio's All Things Considered). It doesn't interfere with downloading, but it really does with the NPR player. My world won't end if you don't solve the problem, but it would be nice if you could. I live in the Philippines, so that might be a factor.

I use Windows 7 over a local (Globe Telecom) DSL network

Is it possible to use the "Move to Group" function from the right-click context menu to move a tab from one window into an existing tab group of another window?

By default, Firefox does not show me my groups of one window in the other window.

Hello, I've been using the Theme and Font Size Changer plug-in for some time. However, lately (and it's getting more and more frequent) their website pops up in my browser and redirects me to it, without my permission. It interrupts my work, and it's been happening at least once a week lately. This is the page that pops up: http://barisderin.com/?p=516

Note that when I say "popup" it's not what you think of as a traditional popup. It can't be blocked by a popup blocker. It's opening their webpage in my browser, in a new tab, and switching me from the tab I'm working to, to that tab. I don't know how they do it, but it's inappropriate, intolerable, and unacceptable!!

You will notice that there is a place to post messages, on that page. I've tried to post a message there, and ask them to stop hijacking me. But in order to post the message, I have to allow a cross-site scripting request, and my NoScript plugin blocks it. Both of these practices are inappropriate for a Firefox plugin!!

So I have no way of getting this message to them directly. Will someone please let me know how I can contact them, to ask for these interruptions to stop?

And note, that if these interruptions don't stop, I will be uninstalling their plugin!!

I am using TWC (Time Warner Cable) as my mail server and Firefox as my browser. I went to my emails and tried to open an attachment and got an error message stating "security settings were preventing the file from being downloaded". Okay, I contacted TWC, Norton, and my PC settings. It looks as though Firefox is the problem! If I use a different browser ie: Google and go to my email account I have no problem. I remember recently that Firefox did a download of upgrades and this may be the cause of the problem.

I recently installed Firefox on a new WIndows 8 PC and have noticed that desktop notifications for my addons aren't working. The two addons in question are Gmail notifier (restartless) [firefox.add0n.com/gmail-notifier.html] and Twitch.tv Stream Browser https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire.../?src=api. I don't think this is an addon-specific issue, though, as both addons use the same type of notification and when it's supposed to show up, nothing happens. Desktop notifications work perfectly on my Windows 7 PC and I can't exactly use Safe Mode to test because that'll disable my addons. Is there anything that could be affecting this? Thanks in advance.

Firefox will not download Adobe Flash player. It loads to 75% then says "installation failed". I followed directions to uninstall previous version of Adobe, but now I cannot load Adobe Flash player at all.

As I said, I have "When Firefox starts" set to "Show my home page", but that's not what's happening. It always opens all previously open tabs/websites, as if I clicked "Restore previous session".

Firefox has stopped recognizing my master password, so I need to change it. I understand how to follow those instructions. But - I don't understand the directions for backing up my existing username/password file. I don't even know where to find it. Can someone explain to those of us with a little less knowledge? Although I have been very reluctant to do so, I just updated Firefox to version 34.0.5 and I've just about got everything looking/working the way I want, but for some reason, I am having a couple of issues with Reddit not displaying properly. If you take a look at the screenshot I've attached, you can see that the CSS appears to be screwy. This doesn't happen on any other browser and it didn't happen before I updated. I have tried clearing my cache and cookies, but that didn't make a difference. I have also tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode with all add-ons disabled, but this problem still persists.

On top of that, I'm having an issue with Firefox not saving the state of pages when I go back or forward. What I mean is that while browsing a thread on Reddit, if I collapse several comments and then click on a link, when I go back to the thread, the comments will no longer be collapsed. Firefox is essentially refreshing the page whenever I leave it and come back, which I do NOT want. This wasn't an issue before updating and, so far, it seems to only be a problem on Reddit (but I haven't entirely confirmed this).

What can I do to resolve these annoyances? Any help would be appreciated!

I updated to 34.0.5 a few days ago, and just noticed that I no longer have any search engines in the search field (although all searches now go to Yahoo).

If I open the "Change Search Settings", it shows lots of engines there, but when I click OK, they still do not show as options in the magnifier popdown.

Very frustrated; it was exactly like I wanted it before with a selected default engine and others available in the pop down. How to fix?

I recently reinstalled windows 8.1 and started from scratch with firefox. My computer clock somehow got a day ahead in the process, so all my browsers were giving me errors. I fixed the date, and all the other browsers are fine, but Firefox still gives me "this connection is untrusted - user certificate has expired" whenever it tries to load a https website (even google.)

I tried clearing everything in Firefox, up to and including completely uninstalling and reinstalling it, and it's still giving me these errors, fresh out of the installer, with the correct time/date on the clock. Help?

Edit to add: Okay... so I set my clock forward a day again, and the errors went away (for firefox, they came back in the other browsers.) And then I set it back again, and the errors were gone, but only on sites I visited while the clock was wrong. I guess doing that is forcing some kind of site-by-site reset or something? I would still love to know what caused this, though, so I don't have to change my computer date every time I visit a new https: site in firefox.

Edit 2: And... I have to go in and do that again for every site every time I close & re-open firefox.

Click on a web that needs java ... get the popup - activate plugin ... I agree Then it says Plugin out of date and takes me to Oracle site and downloads installer Run & install .... Start browser again .... go to site Tells me plugin is needed - install plugin ... I select yes Then get popup to 'run java runtime environment' I accept Then I get popup 'plugin not available' do I want manual install I select yes and it takes back to Oracle web site and it starts all over again.

Keeps going around the loop.

Can't print in fire fox 34.0.5 get a window to save when I click on the print. Right now I can't print shipping labels on ebay or emails from my yahoo account. I notice there was a update on Dec. 9th 2014 would this have something to due with it?

I want to disable Sync. The various instructions for doing so refer to unchecking a box which doesn't exist and resetting an about:config entry which also doesn't exist. I can't figure out whether I have an older or new version, my logon no longer works, and don't think I ever set up a Firefox account, but again, can't find out.

I'm not quite sure what happened. I did not resetting firefox or clear my history/information. My computer did have some trouble the other day (had it doing to much and it froze) but I don't understand how that could effect firefox as I still have all my documents on my computer. I'm more interested in retrieving the information I had on my firefox, I had a lot of important websites and passwords saved. Also I would like to figure out why this happened.
