Until I updated to 88.0 64 bit, when I right clicked on a page there was a link to View Page Info right next to the View Page Source link. Now it is gone. I can get the info page back by right clicking the padlock icon, clicking the arrow, then clicking more info but that is a real PITA. How do I get the link back on page right click. I am 100% sure that this was not done intentionally. That would be very silly and absurd to do.

I want to set 2 preferences regarding syncing as default preference for all (new) profiles. 1. sync toolbar layout. 2. set my own sync server path.

I already know how to do this via about:config manually per user. I want to have these 2 preferences by default for all users.

On Ubuntu 21.04, I followed these instructions to the letter, but it has no effect, tested on a newly created profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customizing-firefox-using-autoconfig

I created: /usr/lib/firefox/defaults/pref/autoconfig.js And it contains exactly what is in the instructions.

Also created: /usr/lib/firefox/firefox.cfg Looks like: ``` // IMPORTANT: Start your code on the 2nd line defaultpref("services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.uiCustomization.state","true"); defaultpref("identity.sync.tokenserver.uri","https://ffsync.mydomain.tld/token/1.0/sync/1.5"); ```

Then I create a new profile and check via about:config, unfortunately the first preference doesn't exist (note it doesn't exist by default) and the other is not applied, I still see Mozilla sync server path.

How can I set these 2 customisations globally. for all future users (preferably also current users)?

Since 88.0.1 all Amazon Prime Video content displays this message: "Your browser does not support High-Definition playback due to content restrictions. Please update your browser for the best Prime Video experience".

I've tried turning off vpn, adblocker, and set tracking protection back to 'standard', nothing helps.

I'm on W10 1909 Home which is technically not supported by MS as from this week so I did consider that as a possible (but unlikely) reason for it. However, the content plays fine in MS Edge. The content also plays fine from a laptop running Chrome on 1909 Enterprise (similar build to mine albeit not out of support yet).

I see widevine was updated in 88.0.1 - could this be the issue?

Thanks

Strange problem. My provider, Bell Canada, has an option via their website for me to view anything from live Bell TV or even my PVR on any device with a browser (in my case latest Firefox on win10). The problem is it is taking up most of my ram, and as I'm sure many will attest to, when Win10 has less than a couple of GB of ram, it just grinds to a halt (30-40 seconds to open a tiny 10kB spreadsheet, etc.).

I did a memory measurement from the about: thing. Perhaps one of you wizards can tell me if it's a firefox issue or a problem with the Bell website/scripts/whatever? I just cannot believe that it takes 8 GB to watch a video stream. That's more than an entire DVD movie - with all the alternate-language soundtracks and special features!

From the very start, for the last 25+ years, Right Click a link, and hit the letter W to open the link in a new window... Suddenly, with 88 Update, it is now the letter D. (while everything else in Windows is still W)

How do I get it back to [W] (Industry Standard is W)

Why did Mozilla change the letter to D?

I don't mind having to train myself to use D instead of W... I do mind that everything else still uses W, so I have to train myself to only use D in Firefox.

I right click on the image as I always have and it screenshots and saves multiple images instead. I never had this problem before updating to Firefox 88 and I've been using the screenshot feature for well over two years. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and I'm still having the same problem. The image I'm trying to save is the one on the upper right.

Good day,

I am so upset and frustrated after losing all of my bookmarks from my favorite browser that have decided to ask this question here which I'd normally not do and am hoping someone could clarify and guide through restoring it all.

I rebooted my PC last night and upon reboot completion my firefox was updated on its own to v89 or something, the latest as of today's date and so i spent a day not liking the most important thing that I enjoyed on the previous version, which was the ability to reload the open tab by mouse right clicking on it and selecting "Reload tab" (which was the FIRST option at the top of the menu), but for some weird reason the latest update has "New tab" as the first option to select from and no longer "Reload tab" (which is now the 2nd option), which drove me crazy as every time I went to reload my multiple open pages by mouse right clicking them and clicking on the first option at the top of the menu (which used to be reload tab), it was opening 6-7 new tabs instead as the first option at the top now is "new tab", which drove me nuts. This could be a really minor thing for some, but its not for others, its fine that its there, but there should've at least been an option to re-arrange the right click menu and either hide "new tab" as Im not even sure why that was implemented as you can simply close on the "+" signg at the end of your tab to launch a new tab if you need it, from being the first on the list or something along those lines, but I wanted my "Reload tab" be the first option on the list when I mouse right click on any page to perform action with it and thus I decided to revert to prev version Firefox Setup 88.0.1 on my Win 10 pc.

The problem I faced was when I started installing that older version I got this pop up (see attached image)

Without any serious thought I clicked on create new profile as it wouldn't let me install the older version otherwise, it either had an exit or create new option and once I created new profile it all looked brand new as if i've never owed a firefox before and I've used it for ages, my fav browser. Everything is just gone, addons, extension, everything I had organized.

I tried restoring previous profile via about:support, I see 3 on there with the latest 2 seeming to be the latest once and there was one that I think was my old one, but when I clicked on "Launch profile in bew browser" to see if thats the one I had with all my stuff, it kept giving me the same error that you see on the screenshot, so no matter what I did it just wouldnt let me launch my old one.

I searched here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks#w_determine-if-firefox-has-created-a-new-profile tried a few things to follow, recovering bookmarks did not seem to work, I just see bookmarks from June 23rd which I didnt have any anyway, so it better not override anything I had before, and now im just so discouraged and not sure how to restore everything the way I had that deciding to post for help here.

I would appreciate if someone could clarify this instead of just posting links with tons of info to follow, I can find those links myself, some of them I followed, if someone who knows exactly what happenned and could say whether or not this is still recovarable with clear steps on what to do that would be much appreciated.

I also wonder if I was to restore my windows to previous restore point, would it restore my browser to how it was or it wouldnt?

Please assist, thank you!

Like several others recently posted, since at least the last upgrade I cannot get LinkedIn to open in Firefox. I can get to it in several other browsers on my Win 10 Pro 64-bit system. I've tried all the "fixes" posted by others without success, so I'm assuming that the problem is something that Mozilla broke with its last update. Also unfortunately, the Firefox problem submission form is currently offline, so I'm hoping someone involved with the development and help process is monitoring these kinds of posts so they can learn about problems that need to be fixed.

I read the thread about getting rid of double-spacing, but the about:config solution did not work for me. So I tried the other solution mentioned of downloading an older version of Firefox, but the result of that is that my bookmarks are gone completely. I expect all my passwords and logins are gone too.

Is there a way to undo this?

I was converting a MS word doc on my computer to an Adobe PDF and saving it on my computer. FireFox changes it to a FireFox HTML (I'm not not even using the Browser). While MS windows 7 lets me choose which way I want to view it (with Adobe or any browser), it is IMPOSSIBLE to post onto Facebook. FB is looking for a PDF and the file I converted to is something else. So now I can't post my PDF's because FireFox intrudes into my computer and changes things. HOW CAN THIS BE RECTIFIED? The Firefox process seems to freeze after "mouse button up" from "Save Image As". Sometimes the context menu stays frozen on the screen, sometimes it does not. There is no ability to switch tabs or cancel the context menu. The image itself never saves to disk. I have reformatted and installed Firefox several times fresh out of the box and it still has this behavior. Running Firefox from the console and having Firefox freeze gives no indication or error or message about what is going on. I would say this happens 1 out of 20 images saved. I can easily reproduce this behavior, even though it is inconsistent.

Since a few days, when I visit Google Maps, after completely loading the page (roads and buildings shown for a brief moment) the map becomes wholly black with just captions still readable.

Doing the following didn't fix: Restart Firefox. Update Nvidia Drivers (updated yesterday to 466.11, didn't resolve). Disable every add-on and setting default theme. Disable Hardware Acceleration from settings.

THIS temporarily fixed: Entering Firefox Troubleshoot mode.

So I assume the problem is in advanced settings. There are TONS of settings there. Any ideas? I 'd rather not go through a Firefox Refresh losing all site permissions/fine tuning for cookie settings/blocked content for every site made in years. I'm on Firefox 88, Windows 10 64bit ver. 2004, GeForce 950M, Core i7-4720HQ, 16GB RAM.

I put "again" in the title since another question about this is marked as solved for Firefox 68/69. Needless to say, I tried everything from that discussion (such as switching gfx.webrender.all), to no avail for the present issue.
