Well, I wanted to provide PRIVATE feedback to the developers, but it appears that they are intent on avoiding that at all costs, continually steering me into posting on the public forum instead by not providing any other alternative. So be it. Remember, this was not my choice.

I was shocked to see the following results from Firefox's own presearch for the simple term "mom" (I was typing a longer word, but the presearch came out during my typing). I think your curation algorithms need some hard tweaking.

hi,

i'm using FF (version 98 at the moment) to print local files. It is key to me to edit header and footer for each print! the only solution i found so far to edit them at all, is to go to about:config and for example search for print.print_headerleft. Besides that is not usable at all, it simply doesn't work! The header and footer remain the same. Please tell me how can i change header and footer?

If you delete the, in my opinion much better "page setup", why don't you include all it's funktions in the new print dialog?

another problem is the size of the new print preview! it's much to small! make it resizeable please.

Or just give us back the "page setup". That would be a big advantage over chrome and edge, which suffer the same printing problems.

Thanks

This computer is about to crash so I have a laptop backup. I have copied my Firefox profile before from my last computer to this one that is crashing without issues at all. It copied all of my bookmark data, settings, logins, themes, add-ons, etc last time. This time it refuses to read any of the files copied. No add-ons, no bookmarks no nothing. I need this taken care of ASAP as this comptuer is on it's way down and the monitor likely only has days left the way it's running. Why does copying profiles no longer work? I know how to do it and I did the exactly the same as I did before. It's been an hour fighting with it and nothing is working. I need this done ASAP.

So this is driving me nuts - Firefox thinks I am still in Chelmsford.

I havent lived there for some considerable time... I am now in SCOTLAND (exact location witheld for security) but I am over 400 mile away from where Firefox alone thinks I am. Whenever an app or website asks Firefox for my location it tells them I am in Chelmsford. ALL and I do mean ALL other browsers get it right. Only Firefox gets this wrong.

I dont use a VPN or anything like a plugin to alter or conceal my IP location - if I check my IP geolocation directly it is correct - but firefox seems to ignore this data for some reason... The only thing I can think of is that it may be using some wifi geolocation map - and of course my two routers which both have distinctive SSIDs may still be logged as being located in Essex... How on earth would I get that updated I wonder... The people who came up with the whole wardriving geolocation map idea dont seem to have considered that routers might move...

Meanwhile in attempts to solve this :

I HAVE - cleared ALL browser cookies and data I HAVE - uninstalled and reinstalled the browser I HAVE - Cleared ALL history. I HAVE checked the location returned by all the popular geolocation services that I know of. They all get it right - but STILL Firefox persists with this crazy delusion that I am still in Chelmsford, when I am definietly NOT!

So how do I fix this?

By the way I am an IT professional so you may take it that I have tried everything obvious!

Please do read the list of things I have already tried before replying, but what am I missing?

PS I also checked my ISP - they also have my location correct - so it isn't some weird IP routing thing...

Hello,

I would like to delete my Firefox account which currently uses an email that no longer exists. I still have access to the account. I can't seem to add a secondary email and set to primary as that process requires a validation code be sent to the non-existent email address on file. Can you help me delete the account please?

Thank you, Chris

Same problem again with upgrade. After the last upgrade today 9-5-2022 I no longer have video play back on sites such as MSNBC, CNN or Twitter. U-Tube seems to be working fine. I have checked and have version 5.0.1 of ffmpg installed if that helps. And I have turned off ad blockers. Firefox 104.0.1 in Fedora 36 workstation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bob.

Title says it all pretty much. I have text cursor indicator turned completely off on windows, so that's why I'm wondering why Firefox does it when I never enabled something like it. I have the ctrl+pgup and ctrl+pgdown button combos binded to my extra mouse buttons, and I use them very frequently, so this starts to become really annoying really quickly. Especially if I've somehow accidentally 'selected' something on youtube or such, and then it displays a big blue blob out of nowhere. I don't know if this is a purposeful feature or what, but I would appreciate it if somebody could tell me how to disable it, it's extremely irritating.

Is there any way (as in Thunderbird, via layouts.css.devPixelsperPx) to enlarge everything on a given monitor/display/colorDepth setting? Or an approach using userChrome.css that impacts everything, not just displayed text in the browser. Yes, this is a "tired old eyes" (excessive nanoseconds spent looking at bigger and bigger displays with higher and higher resolution) type question. My setup is multiple boot OS including Windows 11, Ubuntu, Manjaro, Arch. In each Firefox is the default browser, but Chrome and Edge seem to have more fine-grained controls for managing the chrome display than Mozilla. Using the latest 64-bit Firefox (100.02) if that's helpful.

Hello, I have a strange issue. When I am in Gmail using Firefox, my time is off by 5 hours. I can open Gmail in Edge and the time is correct.

I have 2 time zones listed in my Google calendar. I removed the secondary one and the time still stays the same.

One posted mentioned that they changed the computer time zone and this resolved the issue. I tried that and still get the same incorrect time.

I can log into my laptop and I get the same issue with Firefox being 5 hours off but Edge being right on time.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike
