After a recent reinstall Firefox seems to have a problem. This seems to be only Firefox specific and I can't find a working solution online after googling.

Youtube videos work, although they do give errors sometimes. A refresh always fixes those. However Twitch/Youtube live streams do not, and display a generic error message. When trying other browsers the live streams work fine.

And old Bugzilla post (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1467495) describes what I believe to be a possible reason for the problem, however following the solutions in that thread have not yet lead to a solution.

Any further insight or solutions would be appreciated.

Since the last but two update. actually in January. this is what has happened to the message boxes on MSN. That is someone replies to me through a comment and a box with the reply pops up. This is the result.

When Firefox updates, a new tab is openned upon the next start, with the new version content or patchnote. I would like to avoid this informative tab.

Is there a way to deactivate it?

This morning, upon opening Firefox, I noticed that I could not scroll through any pages or windows. I turned off scroll lock (or so I thought), and it began scrolling. But then, in all of my other windows, scroll lock was activated. So, I hit my scroll lock button again, and now all other windows will scroll except for Firefox. Is there a setting I need to change?

It appears as if scroll lock is reversed on Firefox vs. all other apps on my computer.

Hello, I have two questions about private windows.

First, on the Home tab it says: "Firefox clears your search and browsing history when you close all private windows"

but what happens if Firefox crashes during a private window session? Will some remnants of your activity remain in some files, as Firefox did not have the chance to clear data as it normally would when closed gracefully?

Second question, when in private mode, does Firefox write data to either favicons.sqlite or places.sqlite (even if only temporarily)?

I have just updated Firefox, and I am not able to scroll at all. My mouse wheel does not work and the mousepad scrolling does not either, but I am still able to scroll by pressing down the scroll wheel (image below). I am able to scroll on all other applications and I was able to scroll on the 'Which topic best describes your question?' mini-menu, I'm just not sure why I can't do it on here. Thanks!

Hi there. My scroll wheel on my mouse stopped working. Only way to scroll is to press Ctrl+Shift and then use scroll wheel, which makes it work fine. But i would prefer to not have to press down Ctrl+Shift to scroll. This problem is only happening on Firefox and no other browser or program on my computer. Do you know any solutions?

After updating to Firefox 110 (snap running under Ubuntu Studio 22.04) I get "No synced logins found". The settings still show me logged in to my Firefox account and my synced bookmarks are still there. The saved logins are still there in my Firefox 110 installation running under Windows 10. A similar problem was reported here: Surface Pro 8 recently had No Synced Logins Found while other devices do not have this issue but I am opening a separate thread because the OP gives the impression that this is platform-specific. I am afraid to do anything in the Firefox installation under Ubuntu, for fear of overwriting (i.e. deleting) the saved logins which I can still access on my Windows installation. How should I proceed?

I use the "Forget" button regularly. Recently, I've noticed that complete browser history (cookies and all) are all being deleted even though only 5 minutes or two hours are selected.

Any others having this issue? Doug

Scroll wheel not working at all -but only on firefox (windows 11) I tried disabling the smooth scrolling option in logi options+ app but the issue was not resloved

The issue only resolves when starting Firefox Browser with the Troubleshooting mode, any idea what is the cause of this problem, and how can I fix it?

All of my extensions just got moved into a single new extension button. I understand this feature was just added to 109 but is quite terrible.

I can no longer see my extensions on the toolbar. I now have to do even more clicks to access certain options or settings. Which is dumb as it now takes longer to get where you need to go.

This is a terribly added feature. Not sure how this passed. The quality of life is not improved in any shape or form with this. Only makes things worse.

For example. I have norton safe web and search. I now have to click on the extension button to see if a page is safe or now have to do multiple clicks to access that extension.

This new feature is terrible and I really hope it is reverted.

I've been getting funny glyphs on my google engine searches. See png. Turning off add ons and reinstalling software doesn't seem to clear the issue.

The funny text when copied and pasted is revealed to be the actual text it was supposed to be.

This is very very weird... and its only on firefox, no issue for chrome or safari. Happened just a few days ago. Don't remember installing anything. Could be malfare from a font site?

I subscribe to Gardener's World which provides links to videos for some topics. Clicking on some links gives an instant view of the target page but immediately reverts to a blank screen, although the link address is still shown. I was not sure whether to report this as a crash, but most of the time I'm trouble-free.

I'm getting popup notifications from customer-service25.higherincomejobs.com and jobsflag.com, even though I've gone to those sites and unsubscribed. Is this a virus? Is there a way to get the popups to stop?

I'm attaching a screenshot showing one of the notifications in the lower left corner of my screen.

I am using DuckDuckGo with Firefox because I do not like auto suggestions filling up the search bar while I type. It's so annoying. I have ensured that Settings do not have auto complete in any way, but still they come. The only solution I can find on this website, which is Stop Auto Search in Firefox

There is a preference to change that back, but it does take a bit of work to find it because of the unusual name: (1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk. (2) In the search box in the page, type or paste handoff and pause while the list is filtered (3) Double-click the browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar preference to switch the value from true to false Success?

Hi Mozilla, I subscribe to the videopass on motogp.com. I recently went on to renew my subscription but couldn't proceed because of the following message. "Sorry, we are unable to proceed with your purchase as we have detected that the billing address does not match your location" My profile location is "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", but my billing location is "United Kingdom". They are apparently two different locations according to the website. I must add, these locations are from a dropdown menu so I cannot change them. I emailed motogp and their tech people reckon either my browser (Firefox) or my internet provider (Sky) could be having a conflict with the payment platform. What do you think? Personally, I think It's the website's problem but any advice would be helpful. This is the first time I have tried to renew, usually I just let it auto-renew. Regards,
