whenever i open a new tab using + sign on tab bar, a website appear , of which i do not have any knowledge. i just want the old setting back. this must be my or my friends wrongdoing. please help.

I have also removed trovi from the registry and still every time I open a new tab it goes to Trovi.com

I am new to firefox and a lot of learning to take in.we had IE8 with lots of problems so went to firefox.gets confusing for us at times as we don't know a lot about computers.don't know how to get back of browser,things we had before:eg. page,i did get print,cut,copy,paste ok.don't have internet options on browser..but what really is frustrating,i have read many times how to get a blank page up when you click on a new tab above add.bar.all we get is this box that says.. server not found..with a bunch of foreign symbols.im tired of looking.suggestions? please tell us in easy terms.tks so much..we are using firefox mozilla 18.01 tks cheryl

I installed a program and it would only install with Delta Search. I reset my homepage to Google but whenever I open a new tab it takes me to the search for Delta, help?

How do I get Firefox to open to Google when I click on a new tab? It used be set to do that before Firefox updated itself. Now it opens to a page with a bunch of different website thumbnail. I don't care about that. I hate it. I just want it to open right to Google. Please tell me how to correct this problem. Thanks.

I have Firefox 30.0. My new tab was just Google, now it is nine different web pages which probably represent my most used webpages. I don't like this setup. I just want Google each time I start a new tab.

I would also like to stop this page from being hijacked so regularly. It is incredibly annoying. How can I stop changes being made without my permission?

I've had about 5 different pages as my new page in the last two weeks. I've removed some programs from my computer, but it's still happening.

I tried to do the about:config thing, but the page that shows up (browser.newtab.url) says that it is the default of about:newtab

Can anyone please help.

Suddenly, Firefox is remembering tabs after I exit. I do not want this 'feature'. In preferences, I have "When Firefox starts" set to 'Show my home page'. Also, the "Restore previous tabs" option under the History menu is disabled (no ckeckmark next to it).

Why is this suddenly happening and how do I disable it?

guys i accidentally closed one of tabs i was browsing accidentally i closed it rather than another is there any way to restore it please help me. Thanks in advance

I have my startup settings set to Open my windows and tabs from last time. If I leave Firefox with a single New Tab page, the next time I start it up my home page shows. New windows show the homepage too. I want my homepage to remain as it is. I have had it set like this before and had no trouble. Is it always like this? Thanks.

TODAY A "SEARCH HERE" TAB APPEARED ON MY HOME PAGE. I CANNOT FIND A "PROGRAM" TO UNINSTALL IT. I HAVE REBOOTED, RESTORED TO A PREVIOUS POINT AND IT IS STILL THERE. HOW DO I DELETE THIS TAB.

I am desperate to remove Delta Search from my new tab page. What do I do after I open about:config? I have done at least a dozen resets, have removed DS via add/remove, am running a virus scan at present...this is TERRIBLE, and there HAS to be a way to get rid of it. When I do a reset, the new tab page is what I WANT...my previously saved pages. However, when I CLOSE FF and reopen, the new page is, once again, Delta. Can you hear me SCREAM? Can you see my TEARS? Old tabs keep appearing above the location/address bar with the same old content in them even though I have tried everything to remove them.

How can I remove these old tabs with content I am not interested in?

I have a MacBook Pro and I have followed every instruction provided by Mozilla and from Google searches.

Under Firefox 40.x whenever I opened a New Tab, my HomePage appeared. When I upgraded to 41.0, opening a New Tab displayed suggested sites. How do I switch back to have my HomePage appear whenever I open a New Tab?
