This was all working perfectly fine last week. What's up Mozilla??? Oh, and both websites work perfect on Chrome as I had to use them to place my orders because Mozilla decided to all of a sudden make changes...

Until recently, I resisted allowing updates for Firefox because of the announcements of changes to prevent access to some technical kinds of website which I use. These include the public websites of the Paris Observatory which include useul informational ftp pages with important text, data and software files.
I did recently allow a Firefox update, and now I find that I am cut off from access to these ftp pages. How can I re-enable access to ftp? If it can't be done in the new version of Firefox, how can I return to an older Firefox version that does allow such access?

Following a Mac rebuild, I decided to use a different e-mail for my Firefox profile, then tried to move all my bookmarks over. I tried both backup and HTML export from my old profile (on a separate machine, copied to the rebuilt machine) but restore from that file failed ("Unable to process the backup file.") and the HTML import seemingly did nothing - the operation completed without error but nothing changed. Any suggestion on how to get the bookmarks moved over?

Today I tried to place an online order to pickup from Texas Roadhouse, but no matter what time I chose a message said it was not available. The only selection that worked was "Earliest Available Time". Finally I called to place an order. Firefox worked 2 months ago but I don't recall which version I was using at the time.
Today I was using FF vers 97.x and later updated to vers 99.0.1 figuring that might be the problem, but it made no difference.
Later I tried Windows 10 Edge & that worked. Then tried a Chromebook & that also worked.
I've also had problems going to the Tracfone website & so have several other people. It's hit or miss with Firefox & usually it doesn't work. But Chrome or Edge seem to work for everyone.
Is this a website problem or a FF problem?

Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. Clicking a lot of times results in sound and video stuttering. I does not appear when i just click another link.

The dialog box opens and I always choose open rather than save but Firefox has already saved a copy to my desktop. How can I stop this autosave please ? Cheers.
