Every time I try to make or receive a call it asks for permission to use microphone in Gmail Hangouts https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox . I have it set to "Allow". https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox When a call comes in or I try to make one it does not have the check mark box "Always Allow" on the little pop up window as I have seen before. I can set it to always allow by right clicking the chat window and page info, yet it keeps on asking for permission to use. -- It DOES show as being allowed both in the list in Options and when you check the page Info.
I thought maybe it has something to do with Flash ending, but when I use Hangouts on the Hangouts page: https://hangouts.google.com/ it works fine. And yes, I have removed all cookies and cache several times. Another thing I noticed is that you can't add any pages manually in the options. Not sure if that is related. Note that I use Firefox and Windows 7 .

How many times do I need to Allow? 1000? 10,000? 100,000? You'd think that this browser would wake up and remember what users are inputting. There are few things more aggravating than being asked the same question over and over. It is utterly astounding that so many software designers seem to be unable to comprehend this. I wonder if they are truly living in another dimension. To think that so much of our lives are controlled by these mindless idiots is so sad. No wonder so much of our society is so inefficient. The problem seems to be centered on calling with Gmail. Calling with Google Hangouts seems to be fine. It may be a Flash problem. Probably as Adobe is such a horrible company, being so intrusive and stubborn in so much of their products. I guess Google chose them as a lesser of several evils. The thing is I've gone into Control Panel, Flash Player (though it says its 32 bit and I'm on a 64 bit system) and allowed gmail.com yet it still doesn't make a difference. In Firefox Permissions (hey, how come about:permissions no longer works?) I see Hangouts.google.com is there but Gmail.com is not there even though I've allowed it 100 times. Why would it not be retained? That is probably the problem. And looking at that stupid Permissions page is so aggravating. Such a total design failure. You can Remove All Websites, but you can't ADD ANY WEBSITES. IDIOTS!!!! If I could, Gmail wouldn't ask me every time I laod or refresh the page. Just think: People are actually getting paid, often very well, for moronic work like this. Boggles the mind.

Hello. I simply want an easy browser. I would really like to avoid ALL the bells and whistles. I also would like to prevent ANY information collection by ANYONE or background communications. I am also looking to find a product that will remove ANY and ALL cookies on demand and ALL temporary internet files, and especially "customized advertising" whose main purpose seems to be presenting me with the same search results regardless of the desired search. That being said I do not want to spend a month studying firewall configuration or how to set up firefox. Any chance I can get step by step guide to enable maximum protection while providing the minimum of information Thank you for ANY assistance

Frankly I don't use any other browsers because of their security flaws. Kelloggs has been added to my allow files and still I can't gain access.
Would someone call Kelloggs and help them fix the issue. 1-800-962-1413, they are available from 9 AM - 6 PM EST.
They want me to install and use another browser, that is their solution. Since this issue has been going on for months I frankly don't think they want to fix the issue.

When I click the Back button, and there are several items in the dropdown history list, seems that I have to hold the left mouse button down for some pre-determined interval before the whole dropdown list is presented.
Before this interval transpires, the button appears pressed, but no dropdown list is presented.
Is there a configuration variable that sets this minimum time to hold the button down, before the dropdown list is displayed ?
If not, is there some other method to have the dropdown list displayed sooner, if not immediately ?

Background: My computer was acting up and, going into task manager, I brazenly exited out of some of the processes of Firefox thinking it might help. Obviously it didn't help and I'm sure at this point I just need to reinstall because it's basically been slowing my computer to a halt every time I've tried to use it since then, but weirdly enough, it completely messed up my extensions too*, even though nothing else regarding settings nor my profile was affected.
I'm fine manually reinstalling the extensions, especially considering I can carry over bookmarks and history anyway, but I must have had thousands of elements blocked on uBlock, all of which are gone, and there's a lot of styles that I don't know if I'd be able to find again as well. If there's some way to retrieve the data related to these extensions if it still exists somewhere, like the aforementioned blocked elements and styles, or scripts on Tampermonkey, or even settings related to the extensions- maybe they're all stored in similar places- then I'd really like to be able to do that. It would be fine just to be able to copy and paste the items back manually again. Even if I can't actually put it back in, it would be nice to be able to retrieve the files where they are so at least it's not wiped out on a reinstall. I realize that it's possible that one of these extensions is causing an issue, but they certainly weren't before this happened (I doubt what I did was actually an issue exacerbated by the extensions and as long as I don't do the same thing again I'd think it would be fine) and either way, even if I don't even use the extensions again, I'd just like to have the data there.
- The extensions themselves aren't uninstalled. Some work normally, some don't, but notably, every time I start Firefox, anything that's stored related to the extension, whether it be settings or just certain specifications, is gone. The toolbar drop-down menus open consistently. For instance, uBlock not only won't actually bring up its element blocker, but it also says it has zero elements blocked since install. Stylus also doesn't work, and all my styles have vanished. Tampermonkey worked running a script on Youtube, but once again, on startup, the script was gone.

My Voice account open just fine and fast on Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, and Edge Beta!!! Maybe you (Mozilla) should switch to the Chrome engine too, you are too buggy 90% of the time! I've been using the extension Screengrab! for years, and still have it installed (v2.18), but it seems to have disappeared from the add-ons repository without trace. How do I find out if the author has retired it or if Mozilla have acted over some security fear? The extension still seems to be available in the Chrome web store (can't see a version number). Screengrab! had tens of thousands of users and had been updated for web extensions (although with some loss of functionality) so it seems strange for it to just disappear.
