I selected the "To save disk space, do not download:" checkbox while I was traveling with restricted internet. I've deselected the checkbox now, but the downloads are still restricted. Apparently deselecting did not unset a flag in the settings? Does anyone know how to edit the settings for each account to do this manually?

I'm a retired Desktop Support tech more familiar with Outlook, still very new to Thunderbird. I enjoy supporting family & friends and often email urls for various reasons. What setting do I need to tweak in Thunderbird to get long urls that I paste into emails to send to wrap within the composed email?

I am not able to copy and paste in Firefox while using Microsoft Office for the web. I can in the same documents using Chrome & Edge I have searched the web and tried every setting I could find but can still not use copy and paste

Apple ID and password are saved in Thunderbird but every time I open Thunderbird it now askd for apple ID & password. Was working OK originally about 3 months ago but itn the last 2-3 weeks has started to ask for this info, If I type it in with my apple ID and the apple specific password then the calendar opens. It I say save password the next time I open Thunderbird it asks for Apple ID and password. and so on and so on.....

Using Thunderbird to check emails and the calendar for an Infomaniak account: The account was active and working properly. After switching this account to 2FA, Thunderbird consistently requested a username and password during synchronization. After some research, the solution is as follows: you need to create a new app password with Infomaniak, then ensure that Thunderbird saves the password and that the “Require device authentication...” option is disabled. Would it be possible to provide a complete step-by-step guide for next time? Thank you.

How can i change bookmarks menu so it will close after choosing. Ive searched and only found option to stay open, (Option to not close menu when opening new tab)... Not what im wanting, I want to open bookmarks choose and have it auto close the side bar of bookmarks. Maybe even auto closing the link folders opened. Windows 11.

Either yesterday or today, I was prompted within Mozlla Thunderbird to enter my password before I could download e-mail sent to my main business e-mail address, [edited]@suddenlink.net. I did that, expecting to see my latest mail haul from that account downloaded to my inbox. I was therefore unpleasantly surprised to see that my e-mail login failed, with the message:

"Login to server imap.suddenlink.net with username [edited] failed."

Yet, I was able to log into my webmail account for [edited] online with that same login and password.

I then tried updating the password, thinking that the Optimum server was requiring that I do that as a security measure for the entire network. After restarting the system, I logged back into Thunderbird and tried to view my [edited]@suddenlink.net e-mail.

Even after doing all that, I failed to gain access to my latest e-mail deliveries to [edited]@suddenlink.net.

Can anyone help me to restore my access to my e-mail account [edited]@suddenlink.net in Mozilla Thunderbird? I can view or send the e-mail in my webmail account, or on my Smartphone. However, those methods are considerably less convenient than relying on mail delivery to or from Thunderbird.

This sort of setback has happened before. Whenever it happened it was difficult to solve. Attached is a screenshot of the Thunderbird response to my attempted server login.

An IRS form 4506-B PDF has to filled out and sent with adobe reader, if you use a browser it disables funtions in adobe acrobate reader that allow you to send the form. Thunderbird works find to send regular emails. It isnt working when I click on the "submit form" buttton at bottom of the 4506-B forms page. I ran Thunderbird in troubleshoot mode and turned off all AVG protection includeing VPN and it still wont work. I tried with my aol and gmail accounts.

As of today, every single time I try to download something, Firefox instantly cancels it and I'm not sure what the issue is. I've disabled adblock and Malwarebytes and refresh Firefox—same issue. Hitting retry from the download panel works but I can't figure out why the first download attempt is always cancelling, even if it's the same file. I'm not even downloading big files.

I recently refreshed my FF installation. Before I did that I had configured my tab settings to always display the x icon (close tab) in all active tabs. After the refresh, the x icon is gone for all tabs.

I cannot remember what I did to get them to display originally. I've tried to do this in the userchrome.css file. But it didn't work. Let me know if you have a solution.

I am using Firefox 149.02 (64-bit).

I access the website The Daily Beast (https://www.thedailybeast.com) and like to make Comments on some of their articles. Up until about 2 months ago everything was running smoothly. But now I am unable to use the Comment section. I get the following response from The Daily Beast...

"Oops, something went wrong :( We detected some connectivity issues therefore we’re unable to load the Conversation."

I do not have this problem when using either the Norton Private Browser or the DuckDuckGo Browser.

What's wrong?
