My user experience on Firefox is being severely impacted and is making me angry. I watch the updates calendar they are once a month. So why can i not go a whole week it seems with a necessary Firefox update to my browser that impacts the performance of websites. I like to have multiple tabs open over a week or more. I don't want to close and reopen my tabs every time I want to use my computer. SO WHY are there SO many updates. It's seriously making me want to uninstall your browser and I have been using Firefox on multiple devices for years. More than 20 years now. It's seriously ridiculous to have a major update every week or even every other week where I have to shut down and save my work on ALL of my tabs just to update Firefox. I have never remember history and I am going to uninstall and reinstall from even greater security because I have serious concerns about the amount of data that big tech companies share with 3rd Parties and the government. I am an honest American citizen and I HATE being surveilled and having my private life sold to the highest bidder. But even though. the safety of your browser is a positive feature it becomes very difficult to WANT to use Firefox when my workflow is CONSTANTLY interrupted.

Seriously, You JUST updated on the 23rd/24th and now just two weeks later there's already ANOTHER update. And who even knows when that one dropped. I only checked it because sites were acting up. And EVERY TIME a site acts up it's because of an update. You have interfered with my user experience with Youtube, and Multiple Streaming Services, and Multiple Chat bots. It's thoroughly dis-satisfactory and disruptive, and ANNOYING. I want a tool that protects me while I am on the web. I do NOT want a tool that ruins my internet experience every week.

I do web development and find that Update Available popup to be a real hassle as I am constantly reloading my browser to view edits.

How do I disable that annoying beg notice from making my life miserable?

Auf meinem Laptop mit Windows 11 Home öffnet Thunderbird sich und der Bildschirm "Willkommen bei der Freiheit" erscheint. Dieser Bildschirm lässt sich nicht schließen. Es gibt keinen X Button. Ich kann lediglich auf links wie Mitmachen, Spenden, etc. klicken, aber meine E-Mails nicht sehen. Das Problem besteht seit gestern, ein Update habe ich am 27.03. gemacht.

In the Thunderbird newsgroup (which I will not name here), one person said the following:

"TB 149.0 (64 bit) tells me I can update to 149.0.1 but when I go to the "What's New" site, the info on the announcement page is "CHANGED There are no Thunderbird changes requiring release notes in this release" and nothing new is mentioned either. Why the release? What's different? Why the secret?

I too would appreciate knowing why this happened.

I can't find a contact person, and the Mozilla account name has been changed. Is that normal?

Thunderbird Portable Help

Question: There was a number after my email address, like "Email" and "1954." Who is that? Is that normal?

Question: Thunderbird Developer Toolbox: Can you see my emails in the program?

Question: Are there any German-speaking Thunderbird users left?

Questions: Thunderbird Portable The archive option isn't updating? How long does the backup take?

Different Thunderbird versions display a programmed year date in the archive option. For example, 2021 in one program and 2024 in another. Is that normal? I can't change anything.

It's as if it's accessing some kind of backup and maybe even sharing it, and I don't know what's correct.

Question:

Update Channel Ellipse Update Channel esr. Previously, there were different channels. Isn't another channel better? I've read that it's more stable than switching. Is that true? Information regarding the question below?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone that I need to return to service because of the failure of... a newer cell phone. The S5 phone is running Android Version 6.0.1 and the current Firefox is Version 61.0 I KNOW this phone is capable of running... not the very latest Android edition, but a much newer version than 61.0!!

I am having difficulty in determining the latest usable Firefox for Android version, downloading or installing it. Because of the age of the phone and the Android version, Google Play is absolutely useless.

I am probably missing something... stupid... because this should NOT be this difficult! Can anyone direct me to an "apk" file of the latest version of Firefox for Android that will work with Android 6.0.1?

My in house security team, recently suggested that Firefox be marked for automatic updates. I did so reluctantly and within three weeks, my feelings were confirmed. I logged in and hit the firefox button. Not found. OK, where did they move it? Program Files. OK. I opened Firefox. No configuration, no passwords, and no bookmarks.

The help to restore previous bookmarks does not work, presumably because the file was deleted with everything else in Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox.

You should not force an update that will cause the user to lose work -- never, ever.

If you're going to move the installation directory, the user should get a chance to backup first. I did not get that chance and I've lost work. Further, I've lost confidence in your product. I can no longer recommend Firefox to others as I've done for decades.

This is not a good day for you and your product.
