Hi all,

Sorry for asking again, but after reading all the posts here the problem is still occurring.

When I launch Thunderbird, I'm asked for new data (Account Setup), like there is no profile available.

The application seems unable to locate or recognize my existing profile, but the profilefolder exists and its almost 90Gb of data. Should I complete Account Setup windows with my data?

Please help me! Tried with thunderbird -p command to repair or select another profile but with no success !

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. Am using 115.10.1 Thunderbird on Windows 10. This email account inbox shows one unread message, but I can't find any unread message. Toggled message threads to see if a previous message was unread, but could not find any there either. Have both closed Thunderbird and restarted the computer, but it made no difference. It is bothersome, but my main concern is whether this is indicating some virus or other hack of my computer. This is just a home computer, not on a business network. Do have it on wi-fi. Is it just a matter of somehow resetting the unread message indicator or is it a sign of something more serious?

On startup TB pops an error box up saying ' There is no email program associated to perform this action'. When dismissed TB continues to open normally. No other errors seen during operation.

I have checked my Win 10 Control Panel Apps options. TB is the email default. MailTo, file type .eml and all other settings I can see are set to TB as well.

Hi! I'm looking for emails in Thunderbird that contain "team energy". Why I get search results which have only "team" or "energy" in their text? How can I search for Mails including "team energie"? For the programmer: Why I get "results" with only one of this words? Why I get "results" with false words ("energy" instead of "energie"? Kind regards and happy search results Hans-Jürgen Dammann

I cannot print from Firefox. It worked fine, and then stopped. I'm not sure what changed. It doesn't matter what printer I use. Even printing to PDF fails. No errors appear, and nothing shows up in the printer queue. All the other applications in Windows print just fine. It's just Firefox. And just for this one Windows user.

I tried clearing the saved printer settings in the about:support page. I tried refreshing Firefox. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I tried uninstalling, removing the mozilla folder in %appdata%, and reinstalling Firefox. No luck.

The only time I can get it to print anything is to log into a different user account on this same PC. Printing from Firefox seems to work then.

It seems there is some user-specific printer setting/file/whatever that is messed up. I'm not sure what else to try.

YouTube has been so slow in Firefox. It just takes a ton of time for the video to actually play. It's just a spinning circle in a video. I can refresh several times and then it plays. I cleared my cache, history, data...etc everything from Firefox. That seemed to help for a bit. Then it just resulted back to being slow. It's just in Firefox. I played videos in Edge. It was fine. No issues. It's just FireFox. It started most recently too. It wasn't happening a week ago. I even tried going back to an old version of Firefox. Didn't help. Anyone know how to fix? Not using ad blockers either FYI. I just want videos to play normally and fast.

I am finding more and more sites that I regularly go to are no longer working on firefox. One site was because HTML5 apparently does not work on firefox. But others I don't know about why are no longer working on firefox. I thought it might be streaming related but just today I could not access one of my banks on firefox, and I tried many times, but had no problem signing on using Chrome.

How do I correct and gain access!!???

I am running Mac Big Sur, 11.7.10. When I am in Firefox version 127.0.2 and I go into any Google search, the tab crashes. It works in private browsing mode and also in other browsers but not in non-private browsing in Firefox. I have tried disabling extensions, add ons, etc. Nothing seems to help. This started happening a few weeks ago with any YouTube page also. How can I fix this? If I can't I will stop using Firefox as I cannot function like this. Please advise!

Since Thunderbird updated to 115.11.1 (64-bit), , the DEL key no longer deletes messages from within the message window. It DOES still delete the messages from within the message list. Any ideas as to why?

I'm going to ask this question again. Has anyone seen this? If so, what does it mean? When attaching a pdf or other file to an email, I can't open it to check it before sending.

C:\Users\***\Desktop\*****.pdf could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

What is a helper application and how do I fix this?

Greetings, every so often I'm having an issue loading pages for certain sites that aren't sketchy at all. The most recent one is TireRack.com. I'm shopping for tires for my car and Firefox is loading all the other sites I've visited but it won't load any page from TireRack. They are a legitimate shopping site. It happens from results of a Google search but I've also tried typing the main page of the site's address into the address bar, clicking various other links that display below the actual search result that go to other pages within the site, etc. The site loads fine in both Chrome and Edge. This happens every so often and it's always a legitimate site and the exact same behavior. I can't recall any other specific sites at the moment but it's enough to have me pretty irritated today as when I'm shopping I like to have multiple tabs open with all my options for comparison and price considerations and today I have to have one of them open in a different browser which makes it much more difficult to keep tabs on especially where I'm used to only having one browser open for all instead of having to remember that one of my options is open in another browser. I have glanced through my browser setting as well as my windows security settings but I could spend hours in there trying to figure out things and potentially breaking other things myself, which I don't like doing. Any suggestions or other info on what could be going on will be much appreciated, and thanks in advance.

There was an update posted today. I ran the update this morning. Now Firefox will not open.

Running Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 64 bit Should I remove and reload program?

I keep getting the message that TB can't connect to my server. I am able to go to my server in a Browser window, I have re-entered the password Multiple Times and it still will not connect. What else can I look at? Tony

I still have not had any improvement with tab crashes especially on sites containing videos. Lately, every time i go on Facebook and play a video reel, i stop the video and before i can return to my home page, the tab crashes. This browser has gotten worse rather than improving.

I changed the password for one of my gmail accounts and now Thunderbird can't access it. It kept asking for verification. When I realized the problem I changed out the '@' but I can't change the password in Thunderbird. New emails are accessible in Gmail and Outlook but Thunderbird doesn't show then and nothing happens when I use 'get messages'. I need to delete the problem account to re-enter it, when I try to add the email address as a new account Thunderbird just says it already exists and does nothing.

Hi, for some time now (around a month), after a couple of days using Thunderbird, I can not load new messages, can not send new messages, and it basically is nonfunctional. The blue bar down right shows an active process that never ends (for example, "sending message"). All menus and software as a whole are still operating, and there is no crash on hang, but every attempt to load my emails or send data ends with endless waiting (no errors whatsoever). When I try to exit the application, it closes down, but a process is listed in Task Manager. When I kill the process manually and try to start the software again, nothing starts (a new process appears in the task manager), but the software never opens a window or something. Only a full computer restart helps, and everything works again for 1-2 days. I have disabled all extensions and tried even troubleshoot mode. No crash reports...
