I have this VPN from Switzerland that is stealing my information I have no idea how it got there on Google. I have tried to remove it but can't figure it out. Can you help me please

This problem has never happened before. This happened in the last few minutes. The whole screen suddenly went blank while I was trying to find out today's weather. I am suspicious of malicious interference with my computer. Any help you can give me will be reassuring.

I use Thunderbird v 140.12.1esr to manage email on my email account frankn413@yahoo.co.uk. For the past 2 days sent emails fail with error message "sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to outgoing server SMTP.mail.yahoo.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. I have not changed my smtp settings - they are Server = smtp.mail.yahoo.com; Port = 465; user name = frankn413@yahoo.co.uk; Authentication method = OAuth2; Conneciton Security = SSL/TLS

Hi My desktop computer was stolen in 2019. Somehow I managed to get my emails and archived emails back on a new computer via a computer repair shop which build me a new better comp. Then 2 years ago my computer crashed and I can't get Mozilla Thunderbird back but need my archived emails etc. In the meantime I received my emails directly from Vox. How can I set up my old Thunderbird account again without loss of any archived emails. PS: I don't have the old password anymore either. Thanks in advance

PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ME. I am elderly, and am struggling greatly. Within the last week, I can’t send emails from my Mozilla account. I have a BT email address ie btinternet.com. When sending, it comes up with Login to server mail.btinternet.com wth username (my email address) failed. This is followed by Unable to authenticate to outgoing server (SMTP) Please check the password and verify the authentication method in account settings / outgoing server SMTP.

I was on the phone to BT for three hours yesterday and they were so lovely and patient, they set me up wth a BT email app, however all of my folders with my vital bits and bobs are on Mozilla. Please could someone help me

When I select a YouTube home page video mute icon, for sound on a preview, it pops up a mini-player, a notice that I have "saved to watch later," or toggles the mute as expected. Intermittent and unpredictable. I can select one mute icon that toggles the sound, and the preview beside it pops up a watch later.

Win10, Firefox 152.0.6 (64-bit) today, but this has been with me about the last two iterations.

I ran though eleventy-billion experiments and there was no effect from any toggling of settings, add-ons, file deletions, toggled logouts, forced refreshes, you name it. The single positive is that the keyboard "m" works fine to toggle mute in a video page playback, but not the previews at home. I followed AI advice after I gave up on my own ideas, and after recommending everything under the sun the only conclusion offered was related to failed mouse tracking, which is nuts to me. Everything works fine except this YouTube oddity, including videos or sound output on other sites. I was actually surprised that nothing changed YouTube behaviour after my freaking out on FF details; doesn't mean the trick isn't in there somewhere.

In simple terms, I have not read reports of this problem and I have no idea how to proceed.

Hello. I regularly sign up for online conferences, then when I get the confirmation email with the details I can't transfer it to the calendar. I even tried saving the ical event separately but when I try opening it using Thunderbird I get an error message. The only way I found is to transfer the contents manually and create an event on calendar, which is time consuming. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thank you in advance

I've been at this for about two months and can simply not find a solution. I normally have 40+ tabs open in my desktop browser. I can put my mouse cursor/pointer over the tabs and using my scroll wheel shift visible tabs left or right (not actually switching to another tab).

All of the sudden it seemed that when I do this the tabs just absolutely fly by. Like I can't shift just two or three tabs at a time, it's shifting 10+ tabs with just a single scroll wheel 'click'.

I can see ten tabs or so and I know that what I want is just a few to the right, when i begin to scroll them the tab I want goes shooting by so far left it's gone now. I 'm left having to click the left/right arrows to move just one tab at a time, but if I click them too fast I get basically the same response. They just go flying by.

How can I slow this down without also changing the vertical scroll speed of the mouse when reading long webpages?

All videos on any site will load properly however they will not play. Can skip around and see frame by frame but the video will not play

My wife has a computer that hasn't been used for about 7 years and it contains a lot of emails that she would like to have on her newer computer.

The older computer has an older version of Thunderbird which doesn't allow the Importexport ng extension to be added.

Although I've copied her old profile, I can't see how to extract the emails from it into the newer version of Thunderbird on the newer computer. Is it possible and if so, how please.

I don't use the YouTube app, I prefer to use it via the website. When I do, I usually watch @ 1.25x speed, however, any time I leave the tab, on returning, playback speed reverts to normal time (always) &, sometimes, playback speed indicator will still be @ my selected speed

Cannot send email on Thunderbird suddenly. This happened after Thunderbird update on 7/16/26 or 7/17/2026. Also could not receive email on Thunderbird for two days after the update but that issue suddenly resolved itself after 2 days . Have tried to change the port but that has not helped. I use rcn.com We could not send or receive there either when I went on the server. Now rcn is working again on the server but cannot send using Thunderbird account.

Firefox will often display itself in light mode when dark mode is active. Rarely the opposite though.

It happens randomly as far as I can tell, but maybe there's a pattern to it somehow, perhaps regarding doze mode?

Would love to know if I'm not the only one, and maybe if there's a way to fix it, or there's a bug report for it already that we can follow for updates.

I'm having trouble with my provider when trying to send a message. I thought I'd save a draft and send it later -- after my provider problem is resolved. After "Save" ing it, my draft folder is empty. Tried this twice... same result.

Second issue: I am trying to convert to Linux. Currently I keep all my Thunderbird stuff on an encrypted disk (Dekart Prvdsk). while I can mount this drive and access this from within applications, PrvDsk will not allow me to copy the files to an unencrypted disk. Is there any way (like a tool) that I can use to export all my folders (everything in "Profiles\2kbxyxpa.default-release\Mail\shastaemail.com," not just the profile?
