I have been using ThunderBird on Linux Mint for some time now. I am using Outlook.com for emails, calendar and contacts and I sync with another laptop and mobile phone. All fine until a few days ago when I noticed calendar events were not syncing with my phone. I found one calendar event in ThunderBird had an error when I manually synced with TbSync. The error report did not say anything specific. I deleted this calendar event and TbSync ran successfully uploading 2 events that it had not uploaded due to the calendar sync error. I then wanted to manually recreate this calendar event in ThunderBird. When I clicked on "New Event", the Calendar New Event pop-up window did not appear. When I minimised the ThunderBird window, the New Events was not behind it. The ThunderBird icon pinned to the panel had a "2" in the corner. When I hovered over the ThunderBird icon in the panel, it showed both the ThunderBird window and New Event window preview. When I selected the New Event preview window in the panel, it still did not become visible. All I could do with with New Event preview window in the panel was click in the 'X' to close it. I checked for Lightning Calendar Tab add-on updates. It was up to date. I check the settings. All OK. I disabled and enabled this add-on. Still not working. My Windows habits made me shutdown and restart my device. Still Not working. When I checked the other ThunderBird functions, New Event pop-up windows appeared for Emails and Contacts but not Tasks which had the same symptoms as the Calendar.

Hello I searched the help articles and was surprised I could not find anything on this. I receive different calendar entry files, in this case a .VCS calendar file, from services I use to use as a calendar entry i.e. a reservation or other. I am able to import this file and create the calendar item in Google Calendar, however if I am on Thunderbird Calendar, I have been unable to discover a way to import. Am I missing this function? What are the steps needed to import a VCS file into Thunderbird Calendar? Thanks Mozilla community! -kozy

if I type a hyperlink into the Calendar description field it does not link to the url.

The mouse pointer does not change from a cursor to a pointy hand when I hover over it

I have also tried using the 'Link' button and that creates a blue/underlined url like a traditional clickable link but the result is the same as before.

Please help troubleshoot the problem, at the moment I'm having to copy and paste every link which becomes tedious when there are lots of links

Running Kubuntu. System locale/timezone OK, TBird set to use system time (though manually making it the same didn't help). HW Clock matches system time. Pacific/Auckland.

When creating a New Message, the top 5 lines are missing - i.e the “End: (U)” (end time) line is displayed at the top of the screen. I use TB as a personal home email client & calendar. All the prenamed Category labels for events are primarily oriented to business use. If there a way to rename the Categories and apply a color that I want?

When I add/edit a calendar event, it only allows for 1 reminder. I often set up multiple reminders for an event, especially if it is scheduled for several weeks in the future. I want to set up a reminder for '2 weeks before', '2 days before', and '12 hours before', but I can't find where to add the additional reminders.

Hello, I probably desactivated by mistake the reminder pop up window for event and tasks in the agenda. So that i do not get any warning 1 day before the event as specified in the creation of the event. How can i re-instate this alarm ? Tks brds

I have just had a scam calendar entry added without me accepting the invite or an email requesting it.

The entry has clickable links - obviously scam/spam

How could that happen?

I am trying to import a ics file into thunderbird. If I specify a local calendar as the destination calendar, the import works. However, if I specify a caldav-connected calendar as the destination, the import starts but never completes, and I always see an import status of 0%. I have tried importing into calendars from different caldav providers, but in all cases, the import fails. I would greatly appreciate your feedback. For me, this import is a convenient way to semi-automatically populate a web calendar.

When trying to edit the Description of a Calendar Event the description window only shows part of the first line. I am unable to scroll or resize the text box. Windows 11 64 bit, Thunderbird 1.28 and Thunderbird Eclipse 140.0.1 - 64 bit
