Running Linux Mint 22 and FF 138.0.3. Normal practice is to leave 2 or 3 FF windows open on shutdown so the same windows and tabs will re-open on future boot-ups when opening FF. In the last several versions of FF as well as of the OS, those tabs appear on boot but display random text within a random tab for a given window. Also, the highlighted icon in the tray does not match the window that has opened. If I click and re-click the tray icons, they eventually display as expected.

The font is all garbled on Firefox on the latest version, and I can't even read the settings to see if I can fix it. Any ideas? I did an inspect and it says it's the "system UI" font, but every other app/browser is loading it fine. Help!

My smtp account settings are correct yet anything sent is returned. When I go to my webmail account, I have no problem with sending anything. Does tbird have a different setting for SMTO?

I've been using google messages for web in firefox for some time. I'd pair firefox and pin the tab. Works great. However, with a new laptop the messages for web tab/page will not auto update as it does on other computers and I have to manually reload the page for it to show the updated messages. I'm not sure the cause or settings that would be needed to allow it to query the server for rcs/sms updates.

Running FF115.23.1ESR on a Win7/32 box I use in network maintenance/configuration.

If I log into the modem main page and select from the side-bar menu, FF drops me back to the modem's login screen (Grounghog Day style). This behaviour is repeatable (endlessly) on:

• * another identical modem (same/latest firmware). These have repeatedly been factory reset and firmware reloaded. No change.
• * another Win7 box (/64) on same FF release.

Opera - reluctantly added on those same Win7 boxes - does not have this (mis-)behaviour.

Win10/64 running FF138.0.4 does not have this issue.

Up until about ten weeks back, the (then-current) Win7/X esr release did NOT have this problem.

Once in the main page, select "Advanced" from the left menu list. This (in the emulator) opens the Advanced page, as it should. In a normal situation here, it simply reverts to the login page.

Q1: Anyone have any experience like this, or any clues/suggestions?

Q2: To continue using these Win7 boxes in that role, am I forced to abandon FF?

Hi, I use firefox exclusively across all my devices (for obvious reasons) but I find some browser apps don't work on Firefox - in particular Beat Buddy manager online. This requires FilesystemAPI support, which exists in Chrome and Edge, but not in Firefox. Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer using the online editor. I am using 64bit Windows 11 Home. This happened suddenly without any changes on my part that I know of.

Thunderbird suddenly started freezeing right after startup. The only thing I can do is login with the master password then the regular thunderbird screen opens, but I cannot click on anything. Soon after the screen is greyed out. However I can close the program down with the red "x" in the top right corner. It opens a dialog that gives me the opens to close down or wait to respond. The close option works.

The only hint I can see from the frozen screen is that the local Folder seems to have a problem as a subfolder has now multiple copies of itself. It seems to create a new copy of that subfolder every time I try to start the program.

So far I tried reinstalling/updating TB, as I assumed an update had maybe malfunctioned, (it was stuck on version 128, since I could not open TB for about a week now) but upgrading to to version 138 did not help. I also tried starting TB in troubleshoot mode, which made no difference I also tried starting TB while windows was in safe mode, which made no difference.

I read around but people that have problems with TB freezing seem to not have the freeze happen before they can do anything.

I assume something is wrong in my profile, maybe the local folder? But I have no idea to fix anything, since I cannot do anything at all in TB.

After half hour or so the browser for Youtube just hangs All the links are not connecting It shows up as arrow NOT hand It just hangs until you refresh the browser so you lose all the queues

Facebook's help page says their "end-to-end encryption" will only work with Edge and Chrome. Is anyone at Mozilla working on making Firefox compatible with this? I only use Firefox for Facebook messaging, since I don't trust those other browsers, or the Messenger app, which I know for a fact is a trojan. But as it is, I have an incoming message that I can't read. Thanks.

I am trying to work with an older piece of equipment that has an internet interface, a local IP 192.168.1.x

When I try to connect with FireFox I get the error "Warning Potential Security Risk". When I continue the error message is "MOZILLA_PKIX Error Self Signed CERT"

Accepting the "risk" things seem to work for a while. However, after several timeouts and reconnects FF will not connect. If on the other hand I just let things run without making changes the connections stays up without an issue (until I start making adjustments).

Looking at the certificate (from ~2012) yes it is from the manufacture. There is also a "Finger print"

Is there anyway to bypass this warning/blocking to eliminate the FF/equipment interface from my troubleshooting problem?

No doubt I had something to do with the (fancy font uppercase in bold) B appearing in my Firefox header line as the first and left-most character (image attached). Anyone know the source for this and how to shut it and anything else it does off? I like many others I have read commenting about unwanted things thru the PC years that have a disdain of things that sneak through uninvited.

The other thing so far as I know had nothing to do with Mozilla or Firefox but I'll mention it in case someone has an idea. A product install by the same name permanently labeled an outboard drive with this label bold text'Roboform2Gobold text. I know how it got there, it was with the install the product by that name, which I uninstalled, and no one from that company would or couldn't tell me how to get rid of the relabeling it had done. Uninstalling the software didn't take it out, and no one in a general forum had any suggestions. I know the traditional approach of adding or changing a label, but change attempts don't affect this reminder of a poor product that I had decided not to keep. They refunded, but did not help with the changeless drive label.

Using Google Voice became unusable. Firefox too slow. Had been running just fine up till maybe a month ago when I finally gave in and allowed Firefox to update. Not knowing if it was a Windows or other issue I stupidly did a Windows reset and lost all my installed programs (including Firefox). I did a fresh install of Firefox and manually reentered passwords and bookmarks.

Ran fine for a day or two and is now again unusable. Cleared cache and appears to work OK at the moment but still sluggish.

I exported Outlook Contacts to a .csv file and imported giberish to the Thunderbird Personal Address book. Can the giberish be block deleted? How should the Outlook Contacts be transferred to Thunderbird? Secondly, I exported Outlook Contacts to gmail and have used them on the web based gmail app to send messages. Don't remeber how the gmail contacts got to the Thunderbird Address book, but they don't work. The first message I sent from Thunderbird from my wife's gmail address to my hotmail address produced the following error:

Both imported address books are unuseable. Please help.

Recently, yesterday, the Roboform extension stopped displaying in Firefox with the other extensions next to the address entry bar. I have rebooted the system and deleted and reinstalled the Roboform extension, but it still does not show and it stopped allowing for login password selection.

I'm a therapist and within the last week (maybe since an update?) when I try to do a telehealth session from any website - Ensora Mental Health (my EHR), Simple Practice, Sessions by Psychology Today, Google Meet, Zoom - the client can see me but can't hear me, and I can hear them but can't see them (black screen).

I've checked all video and microphone permissions, Microsoft and all drivers are updated and mic and camera are functioning (they can see me). I tried changing the enhanced tracking to add exceptions for the sites (didn't work).

Please advise.
