There is a major flaw in Mozilla management to permit such a travesty.

Perhaps I am not good enough to be a Mozilla user, as I probably don't pass the Mozilla thought purity test.

Mozilla knew about his donation that ended up being what triggered this backlash towards Mozilla and Brendan initially to get him to resign as ceo after he was promoted from CTO to CEO. Brendan decided to step down from CEO and to leave as his way of helping Mozilla and Mozilla community. Unfortunately many individuals and article writers now have the wrong idea that he was either fired or forced out due to him leaving.

Please see https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2014/04/05/faq-on-ceo-resignation/ as you seem to have the wrong impression of what happened.

exactly the same twisted stories, mischaracterisation and mud-throwing that we have seen from "the other side" two weeks ago, where we have sadly lost our co-founder and a brilliant technical mind in the process after he decided to resign
mozilla has not deserved to be in the middle of all of this. our community exists to protect the web by promoting openness, innovation and opportunity and is no battleground to fight culture-wars upon.

since this venue is a primarily community run support forum, intended to provide technical support for Mozilla products, it's not the right place to have discussions around policy issues and i'm going to close this thread. if you still have concerns on the subject that you want to discuss, please take them to the mozilla governance mailing list located at https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance instead.

thank you!
