hello, no matter what browser you use, please keep your plugins up-to-date. old plugins with security vulnerabilities are the #1 infection vector for malware nowadays, so you're putting the integrity of your system & the personal data on it at risk!

Note that this can be caused by having plugins installed like Flash 10.3 that are blocklisted by Mozilla.

This is definitely not an answer. Blocking some old plugins when there is no new plugin like Flash 11.2 on linux is simply telling your users: go get yourself another browser !

Indeed cor-el, the last linux version of flash is blocked by Mozilla. Is there a way to circumvent this messy situation ?

I just figured out [thank cli launch] that Mozilla only offers download of 32bits version after OS recognition. Therefore, installing manually new firefox 32bits versions obviously disables all x86_64 plugins on a pure x86_64 debian :^((( Got my plugins back up and running.

I'm trying to sort out v 3.6.28 for a Thai speaking user, and it's coming up with an annoying https:www.mozilla.com/th/plugincheck/ in place of the homepage that's set.

OK, I know this is an old version that most likely needs updating, but the plugincheck page is displaying all in Thai which I can't read, so I don't know what it's trying to tell me in terms of update requirements. If I were to press the green button which I think might be for a Firefox update, I'm doubtful if I could follow the onscreen instructions in Thai language.

Is there any way I can get this plugincheck page to display in English and still be relevant to the system I'm working on, so that I can understand it?

Failing this, can I disable the plugincheck by changing settings in about:config which I'm reasonably familiar with.

Finally I need to return the system back to the user displaying everything in Thai again, so I only need temporary language changes while I try to sort things out here.

Yes, that was helpful, and quick too! Thank you. I had previously tried changing "th" there to "en-us" but of course that returned a 404 error. Still struggling with wrong language on drop down menus and notifications, but at least making some progress  :-)

this flash plugin blocker is incredibly annoying. it should not be up to firefox to block elements in a website "for my protection". i need to access sites that use flash regularly for my job and there's no way i'm in danger of anything by doing so, so no need for your fascist policy. so far the only helpful suggestion on this page is "get a new browser". is there no tweak in about:config that can disable this extreme annoyance?

Why do I have to click to activate plugins?
