In Firefox 16.0 & Windows 7, I cannot read or write any kind of Bengali fonts. I have Avro installed in my laptop.

First of all you have too download bengali font for windows 7 and for that just google "bengali font for windows 7" . Mozilla Firefox support viewing Bangla scripts (and indic scripts in general) once you have enabled unicode support in your operating system and installed the fonts... From your Post I understand that you already installed a language pack just check that version is supported by windows 7.. Also go through the following link

Happy Browsing :)

Try a check for corrupted and duplicate fonts and other font issues:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
