Problems with resetting the password for Firefox Sync should work now as the related bug (793929) has been fixed.

If you are in (permanent) Private Browsing mode then Import is grayed, so it sounds that you've entered PB mode somehow. You will have to leave PB mode if you want to import bookmarks from another browser.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
