I surfed the net, when suddenly realized what flash player plugin don't work, but few hours ago without closing browser I watched video on Youtube, and now I can't, it requires plugin, so I downloaded it's latest version from official site and installed manually. But Firefox don't "see" it. Also, I tried to install it directly without downloading, but Firefox showed error after 99% and suggested to download manually (I already done it)... So, now I can't use flash features and watch videos - I began to use Chrome for this. How to fix it? P.S. Actually, flash updates NEVER install correctly, haha. Even after Windows reinstall and after many new versions of Firefox. P.P.S. Sorry for my bad english :(

Chosen solution

There are two different versions of Flash, the ActiveX version for IE and the Plugin version used by most other browsers.

1.Download the Flash Plugin version setup file from here:
Adobe Flash - Plugin version.
Save it to your Desktop.

2. Close Firefox using File > Exit
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure firefox.exe is closed,
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}

3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.

4. Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

  • On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen).

Oh, thank you. I saw your previous answer similar to this, but without "run as administrator" on win7 - that previous answer to another question didn't help me, but this helped! Thanks one more time :) Now I needn't to use Chrome...
