when I go on to certain websites a posted message says tha they are having trouble delivering my emails, why

I suspect that my emails are not being delivered and expected return emails are not coming back to me. One site has posted a message to me when I log on that they are having trouble delivering mail to my inbox and ask me to mark them as safe. I've tried this and also disabled AVG for a while but still not cured the problem. how can my mail be being blocked
