Are Firefox 3.5 and 4.0 in end-of-life state? If yes, did Mozilla post a formal announcement?

I'd like to know whether Firefox 3.5.x and Firefox 4.0 is in the end-of-life state. While I've read this on computerworld and wikipedia, I'd like to know from the folks who actually built (Product Development group) and delivered it (Product Managament group) to the customers.
