Firefox 4.0 crashes without warning and there are no crash reports. No one consistent reason, seems to be a combination of plugin and PDF problems??

I updated to Firefox 4, and now I am almost always crashing to my desktop. I've disabled all plugins which seems to have stopped the issue. There doesn't seem to be any reason to this, as it happens on random websites. Gmail crashes just as easily as Yahoo Groups. Also, I can access PDF files sometimes, while other times I can't. No crash reports are generated, Firefox just closes unexpectedly without any warning.
