I am updating plugins as suggested by the check-up page, but on restart, they are listed as needing updates again. I have saved the files, but Firefox doesn't seem to ackowledge any updates.

All the updates I download do not register as being updated when I restart the computer and re-check plugins

Are you installing the updates? Or just downloading them?

Your Flash installation and your Java installation are still out of date, according to the information that was scanned in your Firefox installation by this forum, which appears in More system details... in your posting.
