Firefox suddenly stops loading any website after a while..if I am using it continously for 2+ hrs... pages start reloading only after a long shutdown.. am using Linux

If I use Firefox continuously for 2+ hrs, all websites suddenly stop loading. Have tried restarting and clearing cache etc, but nothing works. Pages reload only after logging in again after a long break.
