I installed 4.0 and all of my bookmarks were there, so I uninstalled 3.6, reopened 4.0 and all of my bookmarks are gone.

Sorry, it sounds like you selected the option to Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations when you uninstalled Firefox 3.6. That option removes all personal data for all versions of Firefox that you have installed.

Any chance that you made a backup of that data?

Sorry, it sounds like you selected the option to Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations when you uninstalled Firefox 3.6. That option removes all personal data for all versions of Firefox that you have installed.

Any chance that you made a backup of that data?
