Wow! Whoever came up with the answer to this terrible issue...congratulations! Man, was that awful. Just like everyone else I was stumped as to how to get rid of it. Disabled Cool Preview and that worked! Thanks! Firefox should notify it's customers of this problem.

i had the same annoying siren sound... because google is trying to annoy the hell out of us with pacman anniversary. here's is a quick fix. In your firefox browser go to Tools > Add-ons then look for Cool Preview in the window that pops up and select uninstall, restart firefox after and that should fix the problem... if not maybe u need to start running because its the cops...

and guys don't blame firefox its still the best browser yet... peace and u can always reinstall cool previews after...

Firefox and add-on glitch causing pacman music to play continuously. Its the cool previews add-on

All you have to do is disable the "Cool Previews" add on for firefox. Go to the "Tools" link at the top of the browser, go down to "Add Ons", go to the "Cool Previews", click "Disable". Then restart Firefox and it should be fine! can restart in a couple of days. Make sure you disable the add-on not just turn it off
