Firefox on my new Windows7 machine far too often either "hangs up" (the screen is covered in a light vail and becomes unresponsive), and must be rebooted from the task manager, or simply crashes and shuts down in the middle of using a website.

I use Trend Micro and have thoroughly checked for viruses and malware. I'm not having this problem in IE or Chrome.

Hello Steve.

I'm looking at your information and I'm not finding your Firefox profile particularly healthy... You have a plugin called "My Web Search Plugin Stub for 32-bit Windows" installed. You also have your default search engine set to mywebsearch.com, which is not nearly as good as Google, which leads me to think you didn't really configure these on purpose... Is that correct?
