Error message after ~1/3 of the way through video: the video you requested is being blocked by an ad blocker installed on your browser. I do not see how to fix this. I looked for any kind of ad blocker control in preferences and in tools but cannot find anything. Please help! ps This is new. I watch videos on cbs.com all the time and this just started happening.

URL of affected sites

CBS.com uses doubleclick.net for your viewing pleasure. You are either using an in-browser adblocker like Ad Blocker Plus or OpenDNS that is stopping access to doubleclick.net. Enable access to doubleclick.net, watch your video, then re-enable.

I was having the same problem. I disabled all my add-ons and even checked my computer to see if I had a ad blocker. Which I did not. I FINALLY figured out what was causing my problem. I have a AVG safe search and AVG toolbar extension for my web browser. I disabled both of those and wa-la the videos play. :)

Just discovered a simple solution that works for me. For Firefox load the page with the CBS video without automatically loading all other images. Tools -> Options -> Content -> Uncheck "Load images automatically". Of course this can be refined to further specify exact sites.

Ok, Well I didn't have any problems viewing CBS up until logging in today and upon finding this blog & another I went ahead and tried the whole circus of tests. Add-Ons disabled one @ a time not just the add-ons but also the accelerators & providers, kept thinking it had to be that Adobe that insisted on being updated 2day but that was ok.

Then THIS WAS EZ, Thank you "CantelopeHead" two posts above, you said the MAGIC words doubleclick.net and the light went on!! I have PC Tools Spyware Doctor and I recall seeing that sight, PC Tools always asks about unfamiliar sights if I want to allow access temp/perm if you DON'T answer it permanently dis-allows the sight access. I heard those lovely words I went into my spyware settings plugged in doubleclick.net & clicked permanently ALLOW, raced over 2 CBS.com and crossed my fingers THAT WAS THE TRICK!!!

So that was MY Problem, MY solution it may or may not work for any 1 else. So go to your Spyware/Virus Settings I have a different program so not sure where exactly for others but there has to be a place where you can enter in sites that are allowed access permanently , or others may have a list of sites that were bounced/blocked that you can hi-light and say ALLOW.

But Helllllo I just glanced @ grammygo80 above and either works don't know about the "uncheck" part for her, I was following Tips @ "Tools-> Options -> Content -> but then it goes Enable - > Approved Sites - Enter in whatever site you want this being - doubleclick.net click ALWAYS.

Good Luck & Happy Viewing!!

Oh By the way make sure you come up with a password after all that because if you neglect to you will not have access yet again next time around. Course atleast you will be an old pro at it the next time around, I was being lazy thought Im the only one on the computer why do I need one? Well in that case not so much cuz of anyone around your computer but the "evil doers" themselves :[ Went to watch another series on CBS and I was declined OH Well back to the Tools & Contents this time I passed the test! :0)
