add column of favorites

my computer was reset and I do not have the column on left with favorites I can click on to go to that site

Do you see the sidebar icon on your toolbar? If you see it, click on it, then click on the star icon to access your favorites. If the sidebar icon is not on your toolbar, click on the hamburger menu on the toolbar -> More tools -> Customize toolbar. Drag the sidebar icon onto your toolbar, then click Done.
