Why does Firefox take 10 seconds to load when Opera is immediate

For quite some time I have been tolerating Firefox when it takes 10 seconds to load. Opera loads immediately. I am close to jumping ship.

Hi Bob Supina, the comparison must be made at the level of the purpose of both browsers. Opera was developed to be a minimalist design focused on speed and efficiency. Firefox includes add-ons, syncing, etc. In addition to the layer of protection and anonymity, such as add blockers, police settings, etc..
