I am repeatedly (a couple of times a week for the last several weeks) losing bookmarks. It is possible for me to regain them when I follow the instructions given by Firefox, but I am frustrated with having to do it repeatedly. I am including below the instructions I am following so that someone out there might be able to identify the root of the problem. Help More troubleshooting options Profile Folder - Open folder Exit Firefox Rename or delete favicons.sqlite and places.sqlite Delete favicons.sqlite-shm, favicons.sqlite-wal, places.sqlite-shm, places.sqlite-wal Reopen Firefox

I updated to Windows 11 Pro, version 24H2 on May 2, 2025.

My suspicion is that a "helpful" friend made some sort of error. Earlier this spring, he deleted Microsoft Defender Malware Bytes (I think) because it was interfering with bookmarks. Maybe it has something to do with running Windows 11. If all that sounds confusing, it's because of my lack of technical expertise. I will be grateful to anyone who can help me.
