Hello,

I'm quite excited about the translation feature as that was one of the features that was always really useful in Chrome but I missed in Firefox. However, I noticed that Korean is not among the languages for translation.

Is there any timeline or plan to add Korean to the list of languages? Are there any complications that prevent Korean being added at all?

I'd highly appreciate if you could give me some insight into this.

Kind regards, Christopher

Chosen solution

Yes, we're planning to add Korean, Japanese and Chinese models. You can already test it in Nightly.

Firefox comes in various language for Firefox installer but beyond adding languages modules from mozilla for other language. Firefox doesn't have built translator like Chrome those are by 3rd party softwares. So if there isn't a language Korea I think would be a language option to add but it will not be like a Chrome language onthefly translator- if that is what your looking for.

I'm aware of the article and that we can install the languages for translation. However, no Korean (and no other Asian language for that matter) is available, and the feature has been out for a while now. So I'm curious if there are any plans at all to add Korean.

Are people developing the feature also seeing these threads/questions? I wouldn't be surprised if community members (moderators included) would not know about these plans if they even existed.
