Clear cache and cookies: Sometimes accumulated cache and cookies can interfere with browsing. To clear them, go to Firefox's menu, select "Options" or "Preferences," then go to the "Privacy & Security" section. Under the "Cookies and Site Data" section, click on "Clear Data" and select both options. Then click "Clear."

Disable add-ons and extensions: Add-ons and extensions can sometimes conflict with Firefox's functionality. Try disabling them to see if any of them are causing the issue. Go to the menu, select "Add-ons" or "Extensions," and disable them one by one. Restart Firefox after disabling each one to identify the problematic add-on.

Update Firefox: Make sure you have the latest version of Firefox installed. Sometimes updating the browser can resolve compatibility issues. Go to the menu, select "Help," and choose "About Firefox." If an update is available, Firefox will download and install it.

Disable hardware acceleration: Hardware acceleration uses your computer's GPU to speed up the browser. However, it can sometimes cause issues. To disable hardware acceleration, go to the menu, select "Options" or "Preferences," and go to the "General" section. Scroll down to the "Performance" section and uncheck the box next to "Use recommended performance settings." Then uncheck the box next to "Use hardware acceleration when available."

Reset Firefox settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting Firefox to its default settings. Keep in mind that this will remove your extensions and customized settings. To reset Firefox, go to the menu, select "Help," and choose "Troubleshooting Information." In the new tab, click on the "Refresh Firefox" button.

Did you recently uninstall an application that was using Visual C+ runtime components?

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022":

You may also have to install the Visual Studio 2013 Redistributable Package. You need to reboot the computer.
