How do I remove a saved web address from Firefox 106?
I accidentally visited a bogus website instead of the legitimate UK Companies House website.
I should have gone to companieshouse.gov.uk but ended up at companieshouse.org.uk which is an escort site! (Yeah, no, it wasn't what I was looking for, OK?!)
But now I cannot get rid of the bogus address and it autofills every time I start typing "companies".
I have deleted it from History, but it still appears.
According to searches I've done, I should be able to go to tools/ settings/ privacy and security/ forms and autofill where I would be able to delete it, but Firefox 106.0.1 now only gives me the option to change saved credit card details.
So where do I find the location that this is saved so I can get rid of it.
PS No, I do *not* want to wipe all my history/ browsing data etc just to get rid of one fake address!

That didn't work as there was no drop down list that I can use shift+delete on, it simply autocompletes as I start to type.
I think I may have fixed this, however, somehow the fake site got added to my bookmarks list (I don't recall ever bookmarking it!)
I've edited the bookmark to the real address and that seems to work ok now.

Hi!
You can simply start to write into the address bar, then when you see the fake site in the list, navigate to it using the arrow keys. When you are on the page, simply press Shift+Delete.
You can also remove any unneeded pages from you browsing history from the Library, but for a single page, the first solution is much easier.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.
I've just tried this with a random site that I've never visited before and found that "Forget About this Site" does *not* remove bookmarks!
Consequently, it will still auto-complete if I start typing the name.
I had to manually delete the bookmark to stop that happening.
You hadn't mentioned above that this was about a page you had bookmarked and , yes, "Forget About This Site" doesn't affect bookmarks. Removing a bookmark shouldn't be a problem.

I mentioned it in my follow up post where I also said that I didn't recall ever bookmarking that site (why would I bookmark a bogus site?!)
It seems strange, though, that telling Firefox to "Forget about this site" is actually "Forget about this site, unless I've bookmarked it", meaning I have to do something else to ensure it's truly "Forgotten".
I had missed in your above reply where you wrote about the page being bookmarked (you may have accidentally clicked the star).
In some cases you have to use "Forget About This Site" to fix issues because clearing cache and cookies isn't working and removing bookmarks would be annoying, but logins (username and password) for this origin (protocol and hostname) are lost unless you use the Primary Password and aren't logged in.
