How do I know that my Firefox Private Network Browser Extension is installed and working?

Hi, I'm new to Firefox and purchased Mozilla's Firefox Private Network Browser Extension. How can I tell that it's on? Should I be seeing some sort of icon on my address bar or something? And what could be the problem if it isn't on?

Compared to Chrome, when I login then a can see extension icons on the bar. Should I be signing on to Firefox too?
