Latest version of Firefox with Windows11. After a day or 2, passwords are not filled in. About:config setting "signon.remember>Signons has flipped to false and "ask to save logins" and "autofill logins" are grayed out. Have disabled all add-ons and extentions. Site is Amazon.com - i have deleted it and then added it back. Firefox is set to "remember history" Does not matter if Firefox is closed down or not. Any Ideas?

Could you check the About Policies page. To open that, type or paste about:policies in the address bar and press Enter to load it. Normally the "Active" panel is blank except for the message "The Enterprise Policies service is inactive." Does yours list any password-related policies?

About:policies OK. I believe settings are correct. If I manually check "ask to save logins", it will work for a few times. When it stops working, "ask to save logins" is unchecked and :autofill logins" is checked but the autofill function does not happen.

Do you have any password-related add-on that might be trying to substitute itself for the built-in feature?

What security software do you have?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.

So, "Ask to save Logins and Passwords for websites" is only unchecked and you can still recheck this item ?

Yes - I can recheck the box. I am using Windows Defender with no other security software. All add-ons/extensions are dis-abled. Laptop may work OK for a day or 2, then problem appears.

You can't have multiple Password Managers enabled at the same time, so if you have others like RoboForm or Trend Micro Password Manager then the builtin Firefox Password Manager will be disabled. If you have the "Trend Micro Password Manager" installed then uncheck the Password Protection box in its configuration or uninstall this application via the Windows Control Panel.

There are no other Password Managers installed
