garbled font showing on some web sites including THIS one!

On certain (very few) web sites, I get a symbols font showing instead of text. For example on www.xe.com I have tried a refresh already, disabled addons etc..

Weirdly, THIS support form suffers from it so I am attaching pictures to illustrate the issue.

I have googled the usual stuff to no avail, so really stuck now...

Maybe you can find out what font this is about.

You can right-click and select "Inspect" to open the built-in Inspector with this element selected.

You can check in the Rules tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font-family is used for selected text. You can check in the Fonts tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font is actually used because Firefox might be using a different font than specified by the website.
