How do I stop https from being added automatically to a bookmark?

I bookmark a page that is not on https, but regardless of how I edit this bookmark, firefox always automatically adds https, therefore killing the bookmark as this link isn't on https. How can I edit a bookmark such that firefox actually gets the message?

Have you selected HTTPS-Only Mode in Settings (Privacy & Security page)?
