Please bring back the option to let the system print dialog be the default. There's no need to fix what's not broken. I dislike the new FireFox dialog. I like and am used to the system print dialog, it works, does what I want, and it should be brought back for consistency with other applications.

I could previously fix this in about:config, but that option is now ignored.

I understand the desire to try something new, but it makes no sense to improve on what already works. And, to remove the about:config option means your imposing your will on me. FireFox never felt like an imposition before, this is like something I'd expect from Apple, not Mozilla.

Please bring back my choice and make it an easy configuration checkbox, no about:config voodoo.

Thanks!

I've been using Firefox for many years, but this print dialog issue has nudged me over the edge to trying the Brave Browser. It too uses its own dialog (based on Chrome), but you can disable it by holding the option key. I'm not nuts about that but at least it's an option.

Further, on a mac, you can use the defaults command to make it permanent:

defaults write com.brave.Browser DisablePrintPreview -bool true

I don't understand why the mozilla team decided to limit our options here. Makes no sense, since FireFox has lots of configurability.

So now that I'm trying Brave, I find that it's working well and I will continue with it for a while. It may end up being my new browser. Oh, another thing - I did not need to install uBlock Origin. Ad blocking is built-in. We'll see how it goes....

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.
