The version of the Firefox 95.0 that it is the latest and thus we attached the picture here for tour further investigation.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi, if you right-click the "broken" image and choose Open Image in New Tab, does Firefox display error information? For example:

  • secure connection issue -- what code does Firefox list (SEC_ERROR_SOMETHING_OR_OTHER)
  • file not found
  • something else

Hi jscher2000,

when I tried to right-click the "broken" image and choose Open Image in New Tab, it will display error information as below secure connection issue -- what code does Firefox list (SEC_ERROR_SOMETHING_OR_OTHER)

I am NOT sure if it is blocked by firewall but I am the only person to encounter this issue

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?

I saw the image was blocked even through it is accepted by default

There is a change in Firefox 96 related to cookies and insecure sites.

See also:

As a workaround for now you can modify this pref on the about:config page to revert this change.

  • about:config => network.cookie.sameSite.laxByDefault = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

about:config => network.cookie.sameSite.laxByDefault = false

This value has already been set as false that I have carried out most of the workarounds from those posts but unfortunately none of them can resolve the issue

What code appeared in the error page?

The screenshot is interesting because it refers to storage.googleapis.com as the source of the thumbnails. Do you use any settings or add-ons that might block Google content on that site?

NOPE we did not use other add-ons or change any setting before and the issue came out starting from yesterday

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

If it still happens in a new profile then those images are possibly blocked by security software or by the Windows hosts file.
