Virtual Server fails to connect when using Mozilla VPN
Hi, I just signed up for Mozilla VPN and am enjoying it's use. However, I use two programs that depend on virtual servers with their own ports. One is Microsoft Visual Studio Code, using the LiveServer Add-On. These cannot connect when running the VPN.
I get the message: "Unable to connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:5500.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
I currently do not have access to any routers etc, as my connection is on a public guest account. Any ideas as to how I can get around this issue?
Thanks!

Hello!
Currently, port forwarding is not supported by our VPN and this would be required for you to establish a connection to a specific server. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and rest assured we are looking to add this feature in the near future.
Regards,
ok. thanks. any way i can be notified when and if this feature is added? thanks.
Hi there,
since you are a subscriber to Mozilla VPN you can always reach out to us directly via the app and ask for any updates about this feature, or I suggest you keep a close eye on our blog page. We would usually announce any new features and release notes with the update in the app or on social media. At the moment we do not have an option to reach out to you directly for a specific feature add-on, I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Let us know if you have further questions.
i love most mozilla products, wanted to love this. it's just i have to sign off line whenever i need to work. (these virtual servers are used in my daily work.) which sucks because i need to be online when i work. thanks
