My firefox does not save passwords
Hello all. I seem to have a new version of Firefox installed on my computer, or an update has made it a newer version (89) and now it does not save my passwords. When I close down the laptop and re start it the next time I want to use it and go to firefox, none of the paswords I had thought I'd saved previously are there. This is very frustrating as I have a lot of places I visit which I had, in previous times using an earlier version of firefox, saved passwords which populated the correct places. I am no techie so really don't understand what has happened. Every time I want to get onto even my email, I have to leaf through my black book to find the necessary password and do it all manually.
Please can anyone help?

Are you using any password managers other than Firefox's?
Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Hello. From the brief information I had received as answers to my question I have tried what was suggested and the problem is still there. Asa I advised, since this update some weeks ago, none of my passwords that the older version saved for me are saved so any website that I have bookmarked, then visit later, that needs a password which I had saved in an older version of Firefox has disappeared so I can no longer get into the sites back office if needed. I have had to switch to use another browser that does save my passwords and enter tham all manually as I used to have to do a decade ago.
